"Love Never Dies", sequel to "Phantom of the Opera" is a beautiful travesty.

I finished Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. I began Nadia in 1992, watching copies from Japan, complete with commercials. Starting in the middle, I had no idea what I was watching. This has to be the most idiosyncratic anime that I've ever seen. It's tone was all over the place. #bluray #anime

Ultra Q was a fun series. Made in 1966, it had a very film aesthetic, and even untranslated, was easy to follow. Also, I enjoyed seeing 1960s Japan.

I completed my rewatch of Ultraman (1966), all 39 episodes. I crush Fuji. I also crush the director. This show has some of the most interesting blocking and camera angles that I've ever seen.

After many moons, I've finished His Dark Materials. #book #audiobook I liked these books best where the story was small and personal. The big events felt hollow and tedious in comparison.

Ultraman (1966) is a terrific TV show. I mean this sincerely. The editors don't waste a second. The camera operators capture every frame. The scripts uses just enough words and no more. There's a reason why this show spawned an entire sub-genre.

I think that a change of circumstances matters more. Teams learn how to handle each other and cover for each other, dividing their work by personality and ability. When someone changes circumstances, they leave their support and face poorly matched demands. That's where you should see problems.

Understood. Right now, transit is subsidized at 2:1 (more or less) while autos are subsidized at 9:1. Meanwhile, we have literal decades of required highway infrastructure work that needs to get funded. If you can figure something better, I'll take it, and you'll become world famous.
