A great week at the Nordic Health Economics Study Group Meeting in Iceland! We had some really useful discussions around the methods and findings from our work on financial incentives for smoking and vaping cessation. A valuable opportunity to exchange ideas across health economics.

Research shows that young people who vape are more likely to start smoking cigarettes. The tobacco industry continue to target young people through various marketing strategies (e.g. brightly coloured e-cigarette packaging). We must continue advocating for tobacco end game. @fdoyle4.bsky.social

Ireland has strengthened its response to youth vaping, including prohibiting sales to under-18s and introducing further regulation of vaping products. Our research is helping us understand what vaping cessation support currently looks like and where the gaps remain. #InternationalYouthDay
