This site was rezoned for 37 units in November and now it's being flipped for another land assembly. Vancouver land inflation in action thanks to Vancouver city council planning policies. 🙄

Packed hall to hear speakers talk about the insane level of densification planned for the Jericho Lands as well as the Broadway Plan. Residents are concerned, but ABC just don’t care. There is only one solution. Remember to vote for a party who will do something about this.

Searing and emotional speech from Rebecca Bligh calling out the party she was kicked out of for standing up for the city's most vulnerable. 👏👏👏 Must watch. www.youtube.com/live/gNil1VS...

Yesterday I was on @CBConthecoast with Broadway Plan tenant victim, Teresa Alfeld. We talked about the doc I am making and #broadwayplan issues. www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...

First almost all candidates meeting in Point Grey tonight. ABC candidate missing because they have not declared yet. Interesting to see alliance on a number of issues from all candidates present. Consensus, in particular, on dissatisfaction with ABC. #vanpoli

A children's book about dealing with being different gets banned. Bizarre and dangerous times in the US.

Indeed, when you support a party or politician, you are supporting the whole package. You don't get to say, "I just wanted cheaper eggs".

Was it ABC's empty promises about gov efficiency, trying to shut down the integrity commissioner, shutter the Park Board, cruelty to our must vulnerable, evicting thousands of tenants, highest tax increases ever... Or just all of it?

Denise Ryan of the @vancouversun.bsky.social has done a really nice spread about the film I am making and the tenants featured and how they feel about being evicted. I am pictured outside of a building in Kits which is in really great condition, but is slated for demolition under the Broadway Plan.

This is the longer, 5 minute version of the teaser for "Is This the City We Want to Build" which was shown at Sunday's packed Broadway Plan info session at Kits Neighbourhood House. #vanpoli #broadwayplan #vanre youtu.be/1WKj3z9vhEY

We are told over and over that the only way to include below market housing in a development is to build towers. So how is this 6 storey dev on Arbutus managing to do it? 🧐 #vanpoli #vanre

Excellent article explaining the disconnect between so many respected and experienced planners and builders, and indeed residents, and this city's planning department on the Broadway Plan. So many hate it, but Council plows ahead. Why? spacing.ca/vancouver/20...
