common grackles and male brown-headed cowbirds are inverted versions of each other. if you even care.

The yin-yang symbol, a bisected circle where each half contains the color of the other half. In the dark brown half is a common grackle, who has a bluish-black head and brownish-black body. In the navy blue half is a male brown-headed cowbird, who has a bluish-black body and a brown head.

everybody check out this death trap of a slide in skeleton crew

A yellow playground slide, except it doesn't level off, so it would send kids plunging straight to the ground.

a message before I teleport to canada for a week:

Picture 1: A photo of the Appalachian Mountains with Ruby Rose from RWBY edited in the foreground saying, "it's even better in person" with a smile.
Picture 2: a map of the diversity of salamander species around the world. Circled is the Appalachian region of North America, which has over thirty species, an unusually high number compared to the rest of the map. Overlaid is a text box saying "COME SEE THE SALAMANDERS" with a small picture of a red-spotted newt inside.

this thought flashes through my mind every time someone doomposts about bluesky traffic slowing down

A poem by Nayyirah Waheed edited to say "I don't pay attention to [Bluesky] ending. [Tumblr] has ended for me many times and began again in the morning."

"the Stannard Rock Lighthouse sits dead in the middle of lake superior, and just 200 yards from UAB's field. it is the loneliest place in America. it is remote, abandoned, and forgotten by virtually everyone except for the University of Alabama-Birmingham football program." #17776 #20020

Full-page drawing of a scene in the middle of a calm Lake Superior, no land in sight. The blue sky is partly cloudy. In the distance to the right of the horizon is a lone lighthouse. A woman with brown skin and dark, curly hair, wearing a green hoodie and khakis, sits in a rowboat holding the oars while she watches a bald white man wearing a black and white wetsuit swim from the boat to the lighthouse. A green out-of-bounds line separates the boat from the man and the lighthouse.

*orson krennic voice* and it turns out, ~SPIders~ are not. the most. unique. thing. in. atollon.

In the wilds of Atollon, Kanan is sitting on his knees before Bendu, a giant moose or buffalo-like being with a long beard and rocky protrusions from his limbs and head.

HAPPY HEAVENLY TYRANT EVE!!! here's the iron triangle from #IronWidow as the cover of Fleetwood Mac's album "Mirage"

From left to right: Zetian, Shimin, and Yizhi. Zetian is behind Shimin, her right hand on his shoulder while laced with Yizhi's fingers. Shimin is facing the right, glancing back at Zetian. His left hand is clasping Yizhi's, while his right hand is holding Yizhi's waist as Yizhi leans back in a dip. Shimin and Zetian are wearing their Chrysalis conduction suits, while Yizhi is wearing a bamboo-patterned green robe.
