oh another important fact: annex has little gravity, and most fauna are unable to actually bear their own weight. gauntebeaste are remnants from a time where gravity was greater, and so their hooves make genuine contact with the ground. theyre p hefty creatures

most species on annex can hybridize, but i think fae+gau pairs are responsible for specific traits natural fae can have. the tail spikes, the bundled horns, even the toes can be passed to fawns its just rare and crossbreeds arent that common to begin with

surgical correction is possible but requires needles, hence Captains reluctance. they never wind up going through with this unless well on in age and only because sunlight in any capacity becomes bothersome

does anyone remember Captain... im reworking their design slightly hmmmst ... im thinking their lack of pigment should affect their mask, which is naturally silvery blue, and their lashes which are sky blue. theyd need to "stain" those with a kind of tactical makeup lol
