But I’ve said my piece. Now it’s time to protect my peace.

Haven’t had anyone make me feel this small in a while and it just never gets easier.

Everything happens for a reason. I had mistakenly booked my flight a day early, and that frustrated me to no end, but that hadn’t happened then I wouldn’t have been able to submit to an audition. The universe at work, like always ✨

Things didn’t quite work out the way I planned them, but it’s okay!!! Just gonna keep going!

One of my favorite parts when signing at cons is hearing all the cool unique names. I once met a little girl named Rinoa, after FFVIII's Rinoa Heartilly. Gotta love gamer parents lol

So excited to announce you can hear me in Bloodbreaker: Labyrinth of the Witch as Ayana, Matthew and Brendowyn! ❤️🖤 Extremely proud to have worked with Philippine game dev, Phoenix Up Media on this! Always cheering on our local game dev industry ✨ Wishlist on Steam now!!!

Got a couple things being planned in the background, but man is it overwhelming to the point of procrastination sometimes 😭

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

Hello. I am alive and busy in the best way ☺️

1110

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

Hiii! Nope. I very much have stage fright and have never been on a stage production ever hahah

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

It actually went better than I thought it would be haha! I had a week’s worth of painkillers but I prolly only took like 3 pills total 😂 I just hope I’m not jinxing myself and it’s gonna suck for my next two teeth 💀

110

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

Got 2 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed today. I am deathly afraid of the dentist so I’m pretty freaking proud of myself 😤

i think it's especially hard here with the culture in the Philippines. It's like... almost shameful, like we feel this shame to bring up money and rates like you're just expected to be grateful for the work opportunity. Idk. Is this just me?

130

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 27/02/2025

anyone else doubt themselves and worry they sound arrogant when negotiating with clients for higher rates while citing their skill level and experience or just me 🥲

160

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 14/02/2025

Time and time again when I feel uncertain I’m reminded that I’m exactly where I need to be. Always always grateful.

Needles but like really anything that could puncture my skin I handle with extreme care

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

Starting to feel better but I still have some cough so I went ahead and got tests done to make sure I’m healing properly. I’ve missed out on enough work. I need to be ready for scheduled sessions next month.

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

Yeah. I might hide the bird app on my phone too so I don’t instinctively go to it to scroll like I normally do. I’m just so… distraught. I just can’t believe this is the world we live in.

010

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Caught myself doomscrolling. Gotta stop. Not healthy.

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

Not off to a great start this year. Been sick with a sore throat and dry cough for a couple of days. Plus I messed up the dosage of my medication. Sigh.

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 12/12/2024

I gotta do that! I didn’t know there’s an extension I could download. Very helpful. It’s sickening seeing this bs when trying to google images.

120

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Cause god knows that is the only way corporations will listen. they only listen to the money

000

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

literally the only silver lining for me with this bs is at least we’re probably gonna stop seeing the disney/pixar style at one point bc it just screams a/i now and looks cheap I just hope we get there, where a/i art will automatically mean cheap ass crap to even the average consumer

100

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

i am so pissed that i now have to think about whether a game i'm looking at on steam uses a/i art

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Rooting for you you on this new endeavor, Samantha!

010

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Finally caught up with work and emails. Last two weeks have been crazy busy. I need a break. And a massage. 🥲

160

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

I feel like as an actor, or any profession in entertainment, it’s difficult to not be a people pleaser when your profession is built on earning the applause of your audience. So inherently, we tend to get fixated on perfection and gaining praise.

060

Vanille Velasquez @vanillevela.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

I think one of the biggest things I struggle with when it comes to my anxiety is how much of a people pleaser I am and how that makes me unhealthily obsess over people’s opinions of me or my work. I’m aware of it now, but it’s still easier said than done to push it away.
