I still have not remotely recovered from this and will always be devastated

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Ok well it’s Kafka’s theme so obviously this makes the list 💀 but deadass this could be one of my favorite pieces ever… mixing Vivaldi’s Winter and Summer with this energetic, electric pop sound was pure genius

First off, one of THE most underrated games of all time - second off, I think this is one of the first pieces that plays in the game and BOY does it rlly tell you through music the kind of experience you’re in for

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

The first time I heard this I cried lmao I wish it were longer

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

HOWWWWW could I forget Tifa’s Theme 😭😭 it’s so BEAUTIFUL UGHHH I had a Tifa theme on my ps4 background and this music played on the Home Screen, I used to sit there and listen to it and sometimes it would lull me to sleep 😩

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

I’ll probably never touch this game again but one thing I will say is that all the music is stunning 😩 extremely immersive… I just rlly like this end theme because it feels like such a perfectly cinematic horror movie credits theme

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

It’s hard to pick which one I like the most, but all the Resident Evil safe room themes are lovely

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DIDNT TALK ABOUT ONE OF THE BEST MOST ICONIC MAIN MENU THEMES OF ALL TIME!?!?!? oh Alice Madness Returns I will always love you

110

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

This shit is so creepy and sexy oh my god 😩😩😩 I don’t think we talk about horror game music enough

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

THE PIANO THE STRINGS THE SWEEPING MELODY… SOMEONE SEDATE ME

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Technically NOT music from the game but shhhh it counts… this song, especially paired with the cinematic!???? Omg… chills every time, bro… this is my favorite League cinematic of all time by the way, I show it to everyone 😩

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Sorry not to post Mass Effect again, but I was going through my liked music and yea omg this one hits… I remember the dissonant notes at the end jarring me and I think that’s the reason why I liked it as much as I do 😭

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Not me calling this a tweet because I forgot where I was LOLLLLL - anyway this one is short but iconic, it’s what plays when you explore the various planets I think in the like galaxy menu? It’s very memorable

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Why do people keep liking this tweet LMAO im running out of music to talk about 😭 anyway whether you love or hate Andromeda, this piece is rlly good… I love the two notes present throughout the whole thing even when it picks up idk it feels nostalgic

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

I’ve always found this one so interesting - such a good mirror of Lara’s loss of innocence. The way it goes from a light tone and then devolves into slow realization, and then building dread and fear and panic and desperation OMGGG it’s way too good

110

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Yes I bought this too… it was before I had Spotify, ok 😩 iconic for very obvious reasons

120

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

ANOTHER ONE I OWN LOL… first off, Contrast is such a good game, please play it… second omg I heard this on the main menu and was immediately obsessed 😭 was also kinda going thru it at the time I played this, so I spent a lot of time listening to this over and over again while wallowing lmao

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

The way I love this piece so much that it’s one of the few pieces of music I actually have bought and is in my phone library 😭 the title is so correct… it really does feel like something you connect with from deep within your soul, sometimes it makes me tear up for no reason

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

LOOOOVE THIS PIECE SOOOO MUCH…. Taught myself to play most of it on the piano and it’s incredibly satisfying to play 😩 just gorgeous in such an understated way

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Iconic… you hear this on the main menu and it’s like you’re instantly teleported into this world 😭 every time I hear it I get kind of emotional I’m ngl

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Only became aware of this piece within the past month but goddamn… it’s a masterpiece, my jaw literally was consistently on the ground nearly the whole way through

120

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

In the same vein - I was only gonna talk about one piece of music per game but OMGGG it would be an injustice not to mention this piece, it’s INSANE 😭 and the vocals omg I get chills… deep voiced women… the live performance of this goes HARD

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

SIGNORA YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS… anyway… I am obsesssssed with operatic vocals in video game music omg I literally lose my mind - Hoyo composers do a fantastic job at writing pieces for the vocalists that tell a story 😩

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

This game has one of the most stunning OSTs I’ve ever heard and NO ONE talks about it!? I truly finished this game partially because of how good the music was… this piece in particular resonated with me a lot

110

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Now I could go on and on about Zelda music… so many incredible pieces like Fairy Fountain, Zelda’s Lullaby, Gerudo Valley, etc… but this one takes the cake. That quiet urgency, mixed with almost a sense of hopelessness ohhhh it’s so good

140

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

This melody is so simple and still manages to be one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard 😭 I remember sitting on this menu screen for ages every time I booted up the game, just listening to it also The Last Story is one of THE best games ever and deserves a remaster or remake…

100

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

This OST not being on Spotify is criminal… anyway, one of my favorite pieces of all time 😭 close second is Don’t Speak Her Name, which I did an analysis paper on in a college music theory class

120

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

All Riot music slaps, but I have a very soft spot for this one… the Danse Macabre vibes are exquisite omg

120

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

First time I ever perceived this song was Kyle Landry’s INSANE piano cover of this, has been a fave ever since

120

Vanessa Benoit 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 @vanessabenvo.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

I’ve never gotten over this… completely altered my brain chemistry 🤕 will never forget how hard I cried the first time I heard this
