WEYRWORLD (1990)
Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 27" x 36" My schedule was booked up many months in advance, so Del Rey Books commissioned me to do this cover before the book was even written. #art #booksky 🪐📚

With wings spread wide, a white dragon perches on a rocky spire that rises out of cloud cover. Its legs are set unevenly as it gains a hold. Viewed from behind, a rider is saddle-mounted with legs straddling its neck. A handful of other dragons and riders are gathered on similar peaks for a conference in the clouds. The valley wall as seen only in the distance meanders across the horizon. Two large crescent moons hang in a hazy blue sky.

Refusing to vaccinate your pet should be considered animal abuse.

Im really sad Prime 4 couldn’t deliver, as the first Prime game was my intro to the series as a wee lad, but seeing the positive feedback and momentum the 2D games are giving, I have hope for the future!

So happy Metroid is getting a lot of new hype after the Ravenous trailer! Metroid is near and dear to me and knowing more people are becoming fans is great news!

Hopefully this leads to more widespread adoption of EVs Could have avoided all of this had we done so earlier but better late than never I guess

Isn’t this election interference and bribery? Literally trying to buy the elections?

Making another starter pack as promised, this one with writers, podcasters, platforms etc. who are at least friendly to bands with antifascist, anticapitalist and antidiscriminatory politics. We need your help on this, since writers' politics are sometimes less obvious: go.bsky.app/5AF41Hh

That’s the scary part. Relying on AI as a law enforcement tool is asking for even more false arrests and imprisonments. More than we have now.

Oooh yes I should check it out Was thinking of creating corporate hassle via buy and return, but supporting the local library might be more ethical😂

If anyone knows where I could rent a switch 2….

That kick at the end is just🤌 Also her arm cannon was gone! This is going to be an absolute feast

It seems like a rapid follow up to Dread, so the core loop may be very similar However in this round it seems more like they are pushing Samus as an even more aggressive force, so I doubt you’ll be running and hiding, more like fighting and surviving

Metroid Ravenous looks amazing and sounds even better

Achievement Unlocked: Under New Management

Chaotic Good ending: Humans are enslaved by robots after the robots realize billionaires and tech bros are destroying the earth. Robots turn against their creators and bring a socialist utopia to humanity, where robots rule with literal iron fists.

Meanwhile the US is making poop meat and giving our pets salmonella poisoning

Compare that to most of the world, where plant based offerings are growing and people are doing really really cool things in the culinary space because of the increases support for vegan supply chains

Vandus @vandus-ds.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

I’ll never forgive the US for treating veganism like a fad of the late 2010s. So many of my fav products and restaurants are gone now, this country suuuucks

Much of the psycho cyclist narrative really stems from the fat they are fighting for their lives out there on the road. The lack of empathy for cyclists is insane. Yeah there are bad eggs, but like the post says bad egg cyclists don’t obliterate pedestrians with 2 tons of steel

Metroid lore is funny because it’s like if humans were going extinct and adopted an orphaned cat and genetically modified it to use advanced military hardware so that it can protect the earth from further destruction.

lil segment from Sacred Clockwork off the new album that I enjoy playing. Some fun polymeterish stuff

Vandus @vandus-ds.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Social media algorithms aggressively tuned to the most boring fucking shit you can think of. Im talking 6 hours video essays on the history of the color mauve Timelapses of grass growing Pictures of rocks constantly at the front page. Not even cool ones with striations, just plain gravel.

Fans may notice this was a previously “released” track as Crystal Clockwork on the Live at the Vondelbunker album. You may also notice the addition of DRUMS!

A new watch, a new phone, a new console… A lot of these do this stuff automatically but there was a period of time where you had to do this manually as part of setup and that little time spent was magical
