We don't have air conditioning as it doesn't normally get too warm in Ireland. But it was 84 for a couple of days - it's gone back to the usual summer 70F now.....

Great track. I always liked Fairport Convention but kept it quiet as they were seen as a bit uncool - you'd get away with Pentangle but owning a Steeleye Span album would lead to ostracism...

All of them. But 1971 was the year I discovered music,Led Zep,Tull, Purple, Fairport etc. They all made great albums that year.

I know it's from 1969 but the cover is one of the most 70's covers ever.

Great album from a brilliant singer songwriter. They don't make them like that anymore.

She had a very distinctive voice, that single was on the radio constantly. It was too poppy for me but it was an earworm!

Larks Tongue. I bought In The Wake of Poseidon not knowing anything about King Crimson (I liked the cover!) and became a big fan. All their early albums are great with the exception of Earthbound which is a live album recorded on cassette tape I think.

Atomic Rooster were a good band, their early albums well worth listening to.

All Right Now, one of the great guitar solos. And nice and short too.

I'd agree. Some awful acts also - I give you Barclay James Harvest and Amazing Blondel .....I was perusing a record by the latter in the Sound Cellar one day and Pat Egan came over and warned 'there's nothing amazing about them'. A joke at the time, how do you spell pretentious?......ELP.

I saw Jethro Tull in Dublin twenty years ago......They played one half of TAAB and at the end Ian Anderson said to the crowd "if you don't behave, we'll play side 2 as well" !

I was a big Tull fan at the time, it got mixed reviews. The follow up, Passion Play got terrible reviews but it actually is a very good album too. But my favourite JT album is Stand Up, a great mix of blues and folk which is what they were best at....

Phaedra and the next one Rubicon are great albums. I can well believe they got very little airplay. The sound quality was excellent too like most Virgin label records.

Yes, there was a TV ad with airline pilots smoking them. Then there were Consulate - awful menthol smokes. The ad stressed the healthy outdoors aspect of smoking.....cool as a mountain stream!
