After finishing Final Fantasy 1 last year I decided this year I'd play through 2-7. Most of my gaming this year has been Final fantasy so far. FF2 is a lot of fun if you enjoy broken game mechanics you can abuse.

Read a few articles lately that that tiktok is taking the next generation of gamers. The games industry needs to look at full price games having season passes and DLC, cut content sold as DLC, gambling mechanics in free to play games, removing paid for content & catering to shareholders not gamers.

No surprise, Hyper Light Breaker was a huge disappointment, a roguelike with extraction mechanics, combat that wasn't fun. They built an audience from a pixel art 2D handcrafted masterpiece game and decided to not cater to that audience then course correct and the result is a game with no identity.
