Little Pogo doodles in my work notebook are essential for getting me through the day

A couple of the new hand-painted pieces I’m selling at my very FIRST art market tomorrow! A 4-piece coaster set (called “Duck, Duck, Duck, GOOSE!”) and mini barn owl ornaments!

A photo of a set of 4 octagonal wooden coasters each featuring a colorful painting of a duck, with the exception of one that depicts a Canadian goose. (The others are mallard, ruddy duck, and wood duck.)

A photo of three round, mini wood slice ornaments with twine loop hangers; the front of each features a painting of a barn’s owl’s face, with little pink beaks and big beady eyes with light glints in them.

Had a rough day yesterday at work and wasn’t really in the Valentine’s Day mood, but here’s one of the things I love most represented in one of the mediums I love most

A small, colorful, cartoony painting of my cat Pogo’s face, done with paint markers (Posca pens) on sketchbook paper. He has big, vacant eyes, a wide pink nose, and is sticking his tongue out.

Hope you all had a Meowy Christmas! My cat Pogo celebrated his first in his forever home with plenty of treats and toys 🤍

A vintage-inspired digital painting of a brown and white kitten with a sweet face and a pink bow around its neck, sitting against an oval blue background. Below him, ornate text reads, “Thy Christmas Be Meowy.”

Pogo doesn’t like to snuggle the way Scooter did so I’ve been trying to bond with him through mutual Floor Time

Photo depicts a black and white ballpoint pen sketch in the margins of a lined notebook page, showing a chunky cat laying on its side with one front paw tucked under its chest

I never introduced my new cat here. His name is Pogo and he’s one of the most social, goofy, and curious cats I’ve ever met!

A square spread of 3 black and white digital sketches of a cat. Two on the left are of just his head; one shows his face scrunched up and tongue out, licking his lips. The other is open-mouthed with his head tilted back as if yawning or yowling happily. The last sketch is a full-body drawing of him on his back, hind legs spread out and front legs grabbing at a feather toy on his stomach, his pupils dilated and mouth in an open smile.

A photo of my cat, Pogo, sitting primly on an orange dining chair. He has medium-length fur and is all white save for a mask of tabby coloring (brown with black stripes) over the top half of his face.

One of the first Scooter sketches, and one of the last. My sweet old lady crossed over the rainbow bridge a week ago today. The 19 years we spent together were a tremendous blessing, and I’ll miss her forever. ❤️

A colored digital painting of a gray and white tuxedo cat asleep and curled up in a ball while a beam of sunlight shines on her face. Below the cat, white handwritten text reads, “April 16th, 2006 to July 14th, 2025.”

A photo of an old piece of paper taped into a sketchbook. The paper has a rough sketch of a (slightly anatomically incorrect) sleeping cat curled into a ball with her paws sticking out. The year “2013” was added digitally in the margin.

“You yell barracuda, everybody says, ‘Huh? What?’ You yell shark, we’ve got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July.”

Digitally drawn cartoon of a man in a suit (bearing resemblance to Mayor Vaughn from the film JAWS) sitting in a boat, with an American flag waving beside him. To the boat’s right, a gigantic, angry-looking shark rears out of the water with its mouth gaping open, about to swallow the boat. A word bubble from the man reads, “It’s a beautiful day, the beaches are open— and people are having a wonderful time!”

Tomorrow!! Don’t miss the new #IndieAnimationDay episode of @postmodartpod.bsky.social, featuring cowboys, detectives, and werewolf sheep (oh my!) 🤠 Here’s the YouTube thumbnail art I got to contribute for it!

Digital art showing two people conversing at a table with a microphone between them. On the left is a woman with short blonde hair and glasses, wearing a cowboy hat and holding a cardboard box labeled “OC’s.” Inside the box, a cartoon anthropomorphic sheep leans out and waves, while a wolf head floats above her. Two timid cowboys peek out of the other side of the box. On the right side of the table is a brunet bearded man with glasses, also wearing a large cowboy hat. The woman has a speech bubble with an open book in it, while the man has a speech bubble with music notes in it.

Months-old drawing but the emotion persists

Digital drawing (a white sketch on a black background with red accents) of my OC, an anthropomorphic sheep mid-transformation into a werewolf. She glares at the viewer with a bright red eye and bared teeth dripping blood as a red streak of lightning cuts the background behind her.

Digital monochromatic (gray toned) drawing of the characters from the horror podcast Malevolent. Arthur is a disheveled looking man in suspenders and a tie. A demonic looking humanoid with tentacles for hair looms angrily over his shoulder. In speech bubbles, Arthur is saying, “we are NOT going to the movies—“ and the entity interrupts him, shouting, “WHY NOT?!”

Yeehawgust day 31: Cowboys Never Die 🤠 The End!! Thanks for following along over here! I already can’t wait for next year :) #yeehawgust #yeehawgust2024 #ocs

Digital illustration: Wyatt lays propped up in a bed surrounded by Clare and his family. Clare sits in a chair to his left, holding his hand. Daisy kneels at the head of the bed on the other side of Wyatt, holding out a small bouquet; she’s wearing her oversized cowboy hat and has her arm in a sling. Her younger sister kneels on the same side as her but closer to the foot of the bed, where she rests her hand on a stick figure drawing of the five of them. Patience stands at the side of the bed behind her daughters. Everyone is looking at Daisy and smiling, and the scene is washed in warm, coppery red-gold hues.

Screenshotted text reads: “Having survived shootouts, cave-ins, drownings, and more, Wyatt figured his luck was due to run out at any moment. But it wasn’t luck that had scooped him up and carried him on foot across miles of barren wilderness; It wasn’t luck that had met him halfway on horseback and rushed him into town just as the storm bore down on them; It wasn’t luck that was visiting his bedside daily until he recovered, bringing flowers and drawings to brighten the room. So even if his luck was nearing its end, he knew he had nothing to fear; he had something better on his side, something that made him feel like he could live forever.”
