Storm Front by Jim Butcher: I’m not the target audience for this. I liked the noir aspects of it, but a LOT of it was lore dumping that made no sense. The plot was kinda predictable in a way that didn’t feel intentional. I was told by ChatGPT that this would be like “Twister meets Charmed” and no.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune: I really loved this book. I read it right after Inauguration Day and I was struggling to remember my power. It reminded me that, as cheesy as it sounds, it is the little things that make us heroic and make our spaces into safe spaces.

I read The House In The Cerulean Sea last week and lemme tell you… it was like RWARB meets Schitts Creek meets Abbott Elementary. It had humor and warmth and I cried multiple times.
