Love Letter This game comes in multiple variations, some with just different illustrations and some with different game play mechanics. The basic game is one of the easiest to explain card games: you have 1 card, when it's your turn you draw a second card and play one of the two. It's simple but FUN

Dixit I got to know this game at a church camp and bought it shortly afterwards. It's such a creative game and I played it multiple times with my friends and family through the years. The illustration-add-ons are so gorgeous!

Der Herr der Ringe (Kosmos) It came out roughly at the same time as 'The Fellowship' movie. I remember my Dad sitting down with the manual for roughly an hour to figure out how it's played. Rarely have I felt more stressed during a Boardgame - in a good way - to get close enough to destroy the Ring
