I so agree with Jenn’s opening: it’s an add-on! I can appreciate Chris Carter’s vision and the Frankensteininess of the director’s cut, but am not sure if I would have liked it as much if it was the only version. I missed the Mulder & Scully dynamic. But I now can imagine it existing off screen.

I also added a cigarette for #csm, nanobots for #Skinner on Scully’s table, some other small #lab items, and flies and bees to the forest. And #Mulder got the donut, because #Scully wouldn’t have that lying around in her lab…(lmk if wrong). #TheXFiles #Xfiles #TheXFilesLego #XFilesLego #Lego

Single biggest omission in the #Lego #Xfiles set… the opportunity to not give Krycek gloves, but in fact make his fake hand a different colour. I know @annieandjennpod.bsky.social know what I’m taling about 🤣🤣 #TheXFiles #Xfileslego #TheXFilesLego #mulder #scully #krycek

#Dell gets the trophy for stupidest AI process! Doesn’t let me go to the page I wanted to see, automatically shifts me into an AI chat with the request “laptop,” and on top of that, doesn’t even let me do anything on the site because their cookie window is non-responsive.

I happened to watch S06E19, The Unnatural, yesterday. Great basement office shots. Great opportunity to look a bit more closely at the #lego! #xfiles #thexfiles #xfileslego #mulder #scully

#TheXFiles #IWantToBelieve director’s cut that Chris Carter actually wanted to release originally, #VrachFrankenshteyn, is out!!! It’s sneakily tucked away under “Extras” on Disney+ (Canada). #xfiles #iwtb #xfilesmovie #chriscarter #mulder #scully

Oh that could be. I was trying to find something in the dialogue… there is a lot that Jackson says about the future and him being in it. I will be rewatching again (and again) 😹

I feel bad for not liking it, b/c I appreciate this undertaking A LOT, and I believe that anyone putting out something like this/fanfic is super brave. I’m a snob 😞 #recoveringacademic I’m enjoying Annie & Jenn’s conversation A LOT & love that I can learn about the book this way. #TheXFiles #xfiles

I bought #Perihelion and I got to 7%. I hate to say it, but the writing itself kept distracting me from the story, and I gave up. Sorry! At least I can now listen to my remaining unplayed #XFilesDiaries episodes on the #SeriouslyObsessed podcast by @annieandjennpod.bsky.social 🤓 #xfiles #TheXFiles

⬆️ cc @drkimhellemans.bsky.social, guest on this podcast episode, telling us about how trauma is the replay of an association created from an initial fear response to a situation. Do you think the “bland food” theory (only same, bland food as to not accidentally trigger sense memory) is reasonable?

victoria @vampiricaholyhell.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Follow up: Just listening to the official #Severance podcast ep “The Science of Severance” where the conversation is converging on Marcel Proust and method acting and sense memory. I know you avoid other discussions, but very on point! (Btw I’m a recovering academic with a degree in neuroscience)

Until today, I could’ve SWORN S02Ep20, “Humbug,” opened with the scene of #TheEnigma and the fish. It. Does. Not. My brain hurts. Classic example of #TheMengeleEffect. #iykyk #TheXFiles #XFiles #MandelaEffect

Provoked by Annie and Jenn @annieandjennpod.bsky.social on the blandness of the food in #Severance, I have thoughts on the food too. I think food can be a big trigger for memory (smell and taste) - if the food has no smell or taste (= bland), we don’t have to worry about potential memory triggers 👀
