It's still fucking insane to me that my re-excision surgery was cancelled AT MY APPOINTMENT, and the doctor told me to come back if it turned cancerous. It's already precancerous, why not just do it now and save me the time and energy? I was literally already there and scheduled days off of work.

I bought a game without realising it used genAI and now I'm pissed as hell. I waited literal years, a decade, for this game to release. They're making a paid DLC with pretty much no new world, just new clothing options and more tiers for lives. I'm incredibly disappointed in this studio.

Trump's tantrum will not legally change that fact for the rest of the world. I think most Americans are uneducated on native words, history (both native and "modern day"), etc. And many of them refuse to acknowledge this.

Just because it's "legally changed" in American documents does not change the fact that other countries (and most American people) will continue to call it Lake Ontario and it isn't ours to rename. That lake was named hundreds of years ago.

Also, what people don't realise is because of the Boundary Waters Treaty, Trump legitimately can't legally/fully change the name of the lake. It's managed by both countries. Only the maps accessed in America will change, nowhere else.

Meaning it was named way before Ontario, Canada was even a thing. Obviously natives were living there during the time, but Ontario, Canada wasn't officially named Ontario until the 1800s (again, can't remember the full date, there's definitely resources that could tell you.)

Firstly, Ontario is a native word meaning "lake of shining waters." It's been named that since, I want to say late 1630s, or early 1640s (it's been a while since I learned the history. I'm sure there's online resources that'll tell you the exact date.)
