aniimo is so incredibly weird. ai prompt of a game. the story vibes are horrendous, the gameplay is just worse versions of real time (z-a?) pokemon battles, botw shrines, palworld crafting, an extraction mode and the most dull open world exploration... nothing feels rewarding and its grindy as hell

there are 3 games, that made me absolutely feral for more puzzle games of their kind: Return of the Obra Dinn, The Roottrees Are Dead and Type Help. three games, that are so inspirational to me, they make me want to create more art.

played the demo for Isle of Reveries and it was good! loved the atmosphere and the pixel art! the puzzles of the first "dungeon" were fun, but sometimes a bit basic. the first boss fight and the controls in general were a bit confusing for me at first, but i got there

The Message from Deep Space is such a great game. it is not without flaws and there were times i just had to look up a guide, but if you love puzzle games and ever wondered what it would be like to translate a message from aliens, then i cannot recommend it enough!

rolled credits on pipistrello and the cursed yoyo and it was really good! the little secrets, the fun movement, the gorgeous pixel (and nonpixel!) art, everything seemed really polished.

having slept after rolling credits on mina the hollower, what i truly loved about the game was its vibe. the ending felt a bit rushed, the story in general is a bit barebones. did not feel the need to grind, as i was screening every screen for secrets (and still having found only half the trinkets)

the "no elaborate puzzles" made me hesitant to buy it instantly, but mina the hollower is honestly great so far. i wouldnt say its completely without puzzles, but the combat and the abundance of secrets really make up for it anyway.
