After what I think is pretty... underwhelming 2.7 in HSR. I'm glad 3.0 is good

Val 💠 @valury.bsky.social · 14/01/2025

I was super close to wuwa tbh, I've been playing since release and I thought too see 2.0 first. if I dont like it or just so-so. I would quit, but it really turned me around

YEAH BRANT ! It gets WAY better, it's very unexpected. Even players who were optimistic were like "I expected it to be good..but not THAT good". because other than story, just the whole experience is different. It truly felt like a different game. I think Black Shores was good too hehehe

Val 💠 @valury.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Right HAHA 😭 I dont mind something a little slow at first but they info dumped quite a bit too. so the slow pace + too much babble was a hurdle to get through... I can't wait for you to get to the Black Shores and Rinascita :D I'd add you but I'm in Asia :((((

Val 💠 @valury.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

It gets a lot better as it goes on hehe. It really does feel like a slog at times but when its good, its very good

Honestly I already thought that Wuwa's 1.3 was a great improvement.. but 2.0 was a knock out. From forcing myself to play this to looking forward to it every day.

I'm late to updating this. but, 2.0 is incredible. truly. amazing. I'm so back in wuwa. I feel rewarded for sticking through 1.x. I still stand by my issues on 1.x, that doesn't change, what changed though is how much they have improved this 2.0 and so I've given it another go

yeah like... MAJOR overhaul... I was letting it pass the first few months but it's just glaringly not for me. GI and HSR at their 1.x is already pretty easy to be invested in the story and characters

110

Val 💠 @valury.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

but yeah, its coreless imo. If you remember the GAA event with Kazuha, Mona, Fischl, Xinyan, if WW has something like that (they kind of did recently with a big cast event) none of those characters have interactions nor chemistry. they're like ghosts in the same room not seeing each other

Val 💠 @valury.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

Yeah I mean.. It has good moments. I did enjoy their 1.3 black shores, main quest part 5, and Xiangli Yao's quest. but outside it it's pretty mid and I don't mean that as a definite insult just 'alright thats done' type 😅

Val 💠 @valury.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

Imagine Mondstadt but the knights are not in the same place together, they don't interact with each other. but they say they're good friends and they know them. The Dvalin arc? that but only traveler and 1 character, remove the rest

You know those shows or anime that are episodic and don't really have an overarching running plot? It feels like that. It's decent in parts, but don't expect it to feel bigger. Characters feel like an island and the stories follow the same formula.
