So much of the greater creative industry is looking bleak right now, not sure how I can pivot to having an optimistic outlook.

Now that Friggsmoot is done and dusted, its time to look ahead at next year...and the consecration of Freyr's godpost at the Great Heathen Gathering. Excited! There's so many freyrspeople within the community. #pagansky #heathensky #witchsky #freyr #vanir #vanatru

While I'm here, I also did a much overdue reorganisation of some of my books last weekend. New bookcases creating a very pleasing wall of books. Most of it is Viking Age/Medieval, though it's pretty eclectic. #Critters #CriticalRole #medievalsky #booksky #heathensky #pagansky

A couple of weeks ago I presented a paper at the IMC (International Medieval Congress) at Leeds. It's the topic of my MA dissertation, and something I'm incredibly passionate about. It was also recorded! So check it out here: youtu.be/GZeHFAIJCAQ?... #heathensky #medievalsky #pagansky #historysky

I've had a super exciting couple of weeks visiting Iceland to do a postgrad manuscript course at the Arni Magnusson Institute in Reykjavik. What an incredible country. I touched Tolkien letters, saw so many manuscripts and saga locations, and took part in a blot with Ásatrúarfélagið. #heathensky

I don't know why it's just dawned on me that, with the God of War adaption being focused on the Norse sequels, we'll surely be getting some live-action Valkyries. My favourite Valkyries. These badass Valkyries. I need them. #heathensky #pagansky #witchsky

So much crossover, helps that (putting aside that Skuld is listed among the Valkyries) that Norn/norn was a term that seemingly carried heavy semantic weight when it came to fate.

Managed to squeeze in a few more hours on Hel this morning before the Pagan Federation's first AGM as a charity (and maybe I did a little bit in the first 20 mins as well....) Cough. I'm struggling with directing my anger at *everything* recently, tired of the hate and fear. I'm also feeling the Valkyries particularly potently at the moment. They seem active, reactive, present, there, around. And I know I'm not alone in that. I wrote this yesterday. #heathensky #pride #pagansky

Talk about a non-story. The Pagan Federation supports trans-Pagans. Woman makes antri-trans comments & is removed. She goes to national newspaper, and we get this shoddy journalism. No, not all Pagans believe in divine genders."Arthur Pendragon" does not speak for us. youtu.be/z2Iy_4eeky0

tinyurl.com/wyrdthingbi This was very fun to be a part of - and timely for Pride Month. There's so much freedom within Paganism and Heathenry to be yourself, all of yourself, and to be supported by a community that believes the same. Don't accept anything less. #heathensky #pagansky #pride #pagan

It didn't go agains the SC ruling. I'm asking you specifically, what part of the post went against the SC ruling. You can't say, because it didn't. Acknowledging the existence of trans people doesn't go against the SC ruling.

100

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

As a feminist, I know you can be pro-woman without being anti-trans. This was anti-trans.

120

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

Also please tell me what part of the post that the Pagan Federation put out was against the SC ruling?

110

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

*she was commenting aggressively on a post about trans rights* Why that post? Why not any other post if she had an issue she wanted to raise? It was targeted.

220

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

Also, "you might come off as anti-trans" was tongue in cheek. If you're against supporting trans people, that's by definition anti-trans.

120

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

What part of the ruling did they go against exactly?

110

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

Absolutely! Honestly, that whole post supporting trans rights became a dumpster fire because of anti-trans bigots taking issue with the stance. Hilariously saying about how it was silencing women...when most of the board, myself included, are women.

010

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

I was literally watching it unfold. If she had issues, perhaps not posting it on a post about supporting trans-rights. Otherwise, you might come off as anti-trans.

130

Sif (Valsif) @valsif.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

She decided to comment on a post by the Pagan Federation supporting trans rights, and was pretty vile about it too.
