Anyone going to Bologna Children’s book fair next week? ❤️ I am going with other Finnish illustrators ❤️ I’ve never been before so any tips much appreciated! I didn’t manage to book any workshop, they sold out so fast 😌 But very excited to see so many books and illustrators from all over the world

We made some changes to our MUJI local design village layout and we are also getting new members 😍 Come visit in April and you will find out who our new lovely members are ❤️ I think me and Kiserinn’s new display works so well! We have moved a couple of meters and are still opposite to the cashiers 🙂

Yesterday was pottery day 😍 A way of decorating with brushed underglazes and pencils worked really well (with the oranges) but unfortunately the bowl cracked. But then a seashell tray (made with a mold came out beautifully and the glazing worked so well ❤️ I get more and more into it each time 😍❤️

Hello 🙂 I’m Valpuri ’Valppa’ a professional illustrator, artist, printmaker and gardener based in Finland. I’m into linocut and tetrapak printmaking, ecological gardening, pottery and art. I illustrate picture books, teach, do commissions and design and sell my own illustrated products and prints ❤️

Handmade linocut prints picturing flora, fauna and skulls in secondhand and vintage frames

An enamel mug full of forest mushrooms on a mossy rock at a lakeside beach. The mug has a yellow, white and black illustration of a skeleton and a skull in candlelight.

Various fine art giclée prints featuring flora and fauna, a bee and cats, owl and moth.

A pair of wooden hoop earrings picturing a cat that has a hissing face in one and calmer expression in the other earring.
