Visited Akihabara and Ikebukuro today and my wallet cries for mercy. I DID acquire a copy of Sword World 2.5 which was definitely one of my objectives - I think the owner was rather bemused when two American women in dresses with colored hair waltzed into his store and bought that.

We're hiring! We're looking for a Writer and Narrative Designer to join the Fallen London team at a senior or mid level. This position is permanent, remote, and full time, which for us means 35 hours a week. #GamesJobs

Night. The House of Chimes - a tower which you might immediately think of as Big Ben - is adrift in the River Thames. It still seems to be keeping time. In the background, a large, alien building looms over the city of London.

I've been playing entirely too much Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave (and will do so much more on my 10-hour flight to Japan this Wednesday) and I have to say, a Life of Glory is one of the best songs the franchise has ever produced. It is SUCH a banger and masterfully incorporates the classic theme.

The absolute gall of people who gleefully cheer the Democrats throwing trans people, "a very small percentage of the population" under the bus for electoral victory and then surprised Pikachu-ing when we say we won't vote for them is staggering. You clearly said you don't need us, motherfuckers.

Trans people have fought and suffered and borne the brunt of the depravity of fascist excess (along with immigrants and Black people), and it looks like the most we can hope for is a decade or more fighting Democrats to restore rights we had in every state in the union as recently as 2020.

The amount of gacha games being re-released as actual games you can pay for and then play normally gives me a sliver of hope that the well on that is drying for most devs and they'll pivot back to making games that don't suck both money and as a game.

One of the Mashle's greatest accomplishments is completely taking over the black wizard robe-based cosplay scene at Anime conventions. Everyone in those now has lines on their face instead of colored markers for the other wizard garbage, and I think that's swell.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

Sat down and made a proper ranged DPS glam since I'll be grinding Crystalline Conflict over the next 10 days so I can fill my battlepass. Usually I favor melee but I love Machinist's ability to say "fuck that person in particular", and I gotta Slay so I can slay. #ffxiv

Have any other tabletop devs been getting near-identical solicitations from game companies for product builds and fulfillment? Seems a bit suspicious to say the least. Especially since the email domain does NOT match the company they indicate they work for.
