Posting about food apparently got the attention of a random account that has videos linking to a site that looks identical to YouTube called "Gan Jing World". Thought it was a "YouTube but Chinese" site but I was mistaken. It's "YouTube but Falun Gong"

Picture of the Wikipedia article for Gan Jing World. The intro paragraph reads:

Gan Jing World (Chinese: 乾净世界) is a video-sharing and streaming platform founded in 2022 by practitioners of Falun Gong. Headquartered in Middletown, New York, it is closely associated with the right-wing news organization The Epoch Times.

In addition to Falun Gong-related content, the site also hosts videos taken from YouTube without the consent or awareness of the original creator. In December 2024, YouTube filed a lawsuit against Gan Jing World over this issue.

Didn't know Hololive was getting political now

YouTube recommendation of a video with a thumbnail with 3 vtuber anime girls in various amounts of surprise (left to right, Nerissa Ravencroft, Takanashi Kiara, and Mori Calliope). The top of the thumbnail reads "I Have a Lefty Kink...". Below it is a red arrow pointing to Kiara in the middle, with the words "*The Only Lefty in HoloEN*". On the bottom: "You Have a What?!"

The video itself is titled "Nerissa shocked Calli with this information about her". Posted by Aiko Okonomiyaki 2. 22K views, 2 days ago

Gave my Fallen London character temporary ADHD to deal with a hungry mirror #worthit

Distracted
When you walk through the streets of London, your eyes chase the shadows in your peripheral vision, until they lose track of where you're going. Was that a bat flitting overhead? Why is the man in a Young Stags blazer limping? Wait, were we going *to* Veilgarden, or did we just leave?

You have moved to a new area: Veilgarden
Watchful has dropped to 212 - Extraordinary!
You are no longer subject to the mirror's hunger.

Can confirm, looked at the ICE statement for specifics and found this on page 73 to bug my elected officials with drive.google.com/file/d/1RTeA...

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the DNC urges Democratic members of Congress to restrict DHS funding until the Department ends roving patrols, worksite raids, mass round-ups, “at-large” and “collateral” arrests, arrests at courthouses and ICE check-ins, in school zones and
at school bus stops, and at houses of worship, traffic stops, and the deployment of chemical agents, and ceases all non-administrative operations; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the DNC urges Democratic members of Congress to craft legislation abolishing ICE and enacting immigration reform that provides pathways to citizenship, protects workers, and ensures dignity for all impacted people; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the DNC urges Democratic members of Congress to pursue civil and criminal accountability for any federal agent, attorney, or official who lied under oath, misrepresented evidence, or gave false testimony regarding DHS conduct, and to remove qualified immunity and other protections shielding DHS and ICE personnel and subcontractors who have injured protesters or journalists, fired into moving vehicles, or caused deaths in custody, whether of detained individuals, U.S. citizens, or immigrants regardless of nationality or documentation status; and

Haven't done an #FFXIV update in a while, but I am making some progress on the MSQ. I just beat patch 4.2 post-Stormblood stuff. Many thanks also to my friend who joined me tonight for the first two Alphascape raids; I died twice in a row on the second one lmao

The main quest of Stormblood in #FFXIV has been completed! Guess the last 25% is the epilogue quests before the next expansion. A friend of mine recommended I do the 8-man trials before going into Shadowbringers so I will probably start working on those soon.

don't feel like going into depth like my earlier Next Fest thread but Dark Cards of Candlewood and Rizz Dungeon are both cool and you should check them out store.steampowered.com/app/3732830/ store.steampowered.com/app/4029090/

Steam banner for Dark Cards of Candlewood. It features a prominent woman with orange red hair standing in the center of the image. She has an eyepatch, a dress, and there is a purple amulet levitating above her hands. Various monsters are shown in the background on both sides of her.

Steam banner for Rizz Dungeon: Skeleton Key to my Heart. A bubbly adventurer woman with dyed hair and sparkly bikini armor (plus lots of belts and some pointy shoes) cheerfully walks down dungeon stairs, about to step into a pit of spikes.

3. Nocturne I've followed the creator of this game for years and my goodness he's made something truly incredible. I'm not particularly good at rhythm games but there are lots of different difficulty options to keep yourself challenged. Stellar dialogue, beautiful art -- lots to love.

Steam cover image for Nocturne -- features the protagonist looking out across the horizon to a sun shaped like a halo (it has a hole in the middle). Depicted with beautifully shaded pixel art.

2. Screenbound Cool concept: explore a 3D world also rendered in 2D on your game console. Maybe less fun in execution? There's some wackier things that seem promising, and the trailer at the end implies there's also a top-down LttP-ish section. Worth checking out! Further thoughts below.

A picture of the game taken form the Steam page. The protagonist holds a "Q-Boy" (game boy-esque console) in their hands while they walk around a 3D environment. The Q-Boy has the same environment but rendered only in a 2D sidescroller, adding some additional coins.

1. Burn With Me Interesting deckbuilder with a cool "burn" mechanic that conveys a risk element both mechanically and narratively (the risk of losing yourself in summoning and the risk of destroying your build by burning important cards to draw new ones)

A pentagram lit with candles at each point. Above it, there is text which reads:
I light this fire
And trust my soul
To the Dark that waits
For my desperate call

A picture of gameplay taken from the Steam page. The stylized but real human hand on the right is pointing at a card in the player's hand, causing it to burn.

Piece of promotional art for the 3 main (don't argue with me I know there are a lot) Kingdom Hearts games in one package, featuring 3 Soras, Donald, Mickey, and Goofy. Donald notably has 4 fingers on his right hand and 5 on the left.
