Taking this little girl out of the sketchbook and into the Australian spring. 🌿 A bit of sunshine, a gentle breeze, and suddenly nature became part of her dress. #KidLitArt #ChildrensBookIllustrator

Watercolour and ink illustration of a young girl held outdoors among small flowers. Her paper dress is cut out, allowing the flowers behind the illustration to become the pattern and texture of her dress.

Thanking the Bees 🐝🍎 What bees make possible isn’t only food. Sometimes it’s an afternoon spent cooking together, a recipe passed from one generation to the next, and a memory that stays with us. Watercolour & ink on paper. #KidLitArt #ChildrensIllustration #Watercolour

Watercolour and ink illustration of a grandmother and her young granddaughter baking an apple pie together in a kitchen, viewed through a garden window surrounded by an apple tree, ripe apples and bees.

One of my favourite moments as an illustrator is opening a finished book for the first time. What began on my desk with paper, ink and watercolours eventually finds its way back into my hands as a printed book. Here a few pictures of my last children’s book. 💛📚
