I wanted to highlight one of my favorite pieces I’ve worked on lately. So many cultural aspects of my ethnicity! Guacamayas, chigüires, cuatro, joropo and so much more. My next picture book is about a girl, that just like me, immigrated at a young age. #PBpitch #kidlit #kidlitart #illustration

Happy #KidLitArtPostcard I just wrapped my dummy for Lila Sees in Color, a heartwarming story about a Venezuelan girl who inherits magical glasses that reveal emotions as colorful clouds. When her own feelings appear she learns every emotion has a place #KidLitArt #AuthorIllustrator #PBpitch #SCBWI
