I'm not mentally strong to deal with this in person, and I'm not enough of a saint to pretend everything is fine to her face when she starts complaining about how we all hate her and how useless she is. My anxiety is through the roof and I'm not sure what to do.

My mom is going through the early stages of dementia. Her memory has been bad for a while, but she's starting to imagine things happening around her that didn't happen, or get confused about her timeline and she's getting more pouty and upset every time you try to help her as she victimizes herself.

Hopefully I'll get the rest done within the next 3 weeks. I do feel motivated to get my life back on track. It's just hard when you're alone and only have yourself to rely on because your various anxieties keep you from relying on others. Anyway, wish me luck. Maybe I'll start streaming again soon.

Because of current IRL events, I've had to force myself to do something about it. It's not much, but this weekend I managed to clear out 2 out of 6 rooms from the majority of stuff I had. While I still have a lot of work to do, for the first time in years I feel like I'm accomplishing something.

My brother and I have a friend whose only point of reference for the word "Woke" is an inside joke where I'll exclaim "WOKE" whenever my brother who's part of the anti-woke crowd has an unusually progressive thought, so she just uses the word as a sound of excitement.
