This is if you want a game ready asset and not some super high detail art render.

This is an extremely rough and quick concept of the process that doesn't include how it would be rendered in a game engine to include an alpha background so it looks like grass, but basically you make a plane, add a grass texture, add some geometry if you want it to have some shape, and randomize.

It seems more like a lot of companies have been complaining more that development costs have been too high and that is why they have been canning so many games and studios. Which is absurd because some of the best games ever made could be pumped out pretty fast with a current day studio.

My last couple games I never finished because they were so boring. Moon/Sword. And then they started making games that just look bad. Now that they finally got back to making pretty games, we'll see if they can deliver on the gameplay / story. Cautiously optimistic.

I totally agree. I was just responding to Cherrim on someone making an argument that they should stop making games because there is no kids playing it.

Nah I was saying that adults are the ones funding the Pokemon Company, so they don't need to market towards kids only. People saying that it needs to be for kids don't understand how ravenous adults are to get their next nostalgia fix.

As for Windows 10 laptops, your best bet is to find a refurbished one. New ones usually come with Wiindows 11.

Yeah, you probably won't find a modern laptop that has a CD drive. The reason for this is because they all need room for GPUs and the fans to cool them now. You can still buy a small external CD drive that plugs into it though. they are very cheap.

My favorite Pokemon games in the past 10 years weren't made by Pokemon Company.

If anyone does something with this game, it would likely be some company with a ton of investor money that will just want to milk it for a return on whatever they buy it for. But on the off chance someone that buys it with the intention to make it better, that would be nice. Just rare these days.

BRUH- I have been waiting generations for #Pokemon to get it together. They finally made a game that looks good. They finally made a game worth buying a Switch 2 for. But I am more broke than ever and electronics are more expensive than ever. What timing. 😔

My advice to anyone that wants to learn Blender or Substance Painter so they can start their 3D game dev journey is never "Go to school for it". It will always be watch a bunch of free video tutorials and replicate what you take in over and over until it sticks. That's how I learned. #GameDev

It can be really hard to make friends in general as an adult. Everyone is always so busy and living their own lives. I am hoping I can make some new friends here on blue sky.
