YouTube commercials are so dumb. I just seen a Ridge Wallet one where they used a drill to show the difference between a normal drill going through a wallet and a Ridge Wallet "stopping" the drill bit. I'm basically 40 and the number of times I've drilled a hole through my wallet is zero.

Sounds like they are gearing up for another reboot of the Halloween franchise. Michael Myers is my favorite of the classic killers but I do have to admit, I think it is still to close to the end of the last trilogy to do another reboot. I'm not sure what is left of this story that can be told.

Honestly, I didn’t have very high hopes for that “Crystal Lake” television series. Mostly because it’s been such a long time since we have gotten anything F13 related. But you know what… the trailer looks REALLY good. Hopefully this is the start of many great things for that franchise.

I love the energy people are putting on cities to remove these Flock cameras. But my biggest fear is that Flock is going to just quietly sell its assets to another company and these cameras will get quietly rebranded & relaunched a few years down the line. Only this time built into something else.

After finishing up the book (Doctor Sleep) I decided to rewatch the movie tonight and hooooly shit. While I enjoyed the book, I think the film is next level good. It connects much better to The Shining, I think. And no offense to King but the way they killed Rose the Hat is much better in the movie

I finished re-reading "Doctor Sleep" last night. I still feel like this book drags a little bit in the middle but overall is an enjoyable read. As a sequel to "The Shining", a top 10 favorite book of mine, I wish it felt a BIT more connected to that universe. When it does bring those moments...

I purchased a new Sigma zoom lens for my camera the other day. Here are a few of my test shots. Overall, I love how it looks. Very sharp image quality, even when zoomed in. Autofocus is a tad on the slow side but I can learn to live with that.

My GameCube controller for Switch Online arrived a few days ago. It’s still the GOAT of controllers, IMO. This controller is also the way god intended Smash Bros. to be played. I’ve always been a bit surprised Nintendo has never done a “pro” version of the GameCube controller.

Watching the live action “Flintstones” movie from 1994 and I still think this is an absolutely wonderful film. I’ve always heard John Goodman hated making it but he is fantastic as Fred Flintstone. The sets and special effects really standout, too.

This is how great special effects are done. A mix of practical with some green screen / CGI to enhance it. The biggest problem I have with Marvel movies these days it how obvious it is that everything is green screen.

It’s still hard to believe that DC / WB managed to screw up the biggest home run possible, Michael Keaton back as Batman. (his performance is great its the rest of the film around it that is awful) C’mon guys just bring him back for a Batman Beyond movie.

I agree with this soooo very much. I’ve always thought you could do a TV series just hanging out inside Xavier’s School and lean on the teen drama of it all. Only it’s teenagers with superpowers and sometimes Wolverine or Cyclops shows up.
