Notificator Project just had one of its biggest updates yet. The #WordPress plugin, dashboard, API, SDK, @astrodotbuild integration, @strapijs extension, docs, and website now work together as a much more consistent notification platform. 🧵 1/8 notificator-projet.com

I've been working on Notificator for quite a while, and it's finally at the point where anyone can try it. It's free, open source, and still very much a work in progress. notificator-project.com

I’ve been prototyping a small physical device that sits on your desk and quietly reports essential info from multiple software tools. From a design perspective, what makes something worthy of your desk space?

So you say it’s the best… what else have you tried recently?

Vagelis @vagelis.dev · 10/01/2025

We’ve turned software into a soap opera over the last few months (though it’s been happening for much longer, with people just looking the other way). After all, #WordPress is just a CMS with only one superpower—the #community.

I mean, it’s 2025 (Happy New Year, y’all). Let’s not waste more energy on him; that’s his fuel. Things might change if we ignore his childish actions and shift our focus elsewhere. After all, as we say in Greece, ‘Υπάρχουν κι αλλού πορτοκαλιές που κάνουν πορτοκάλια.’ 🍊#WordPress

#WordPress wouldn’t be where it is today without #ACF, the page builders (especially WP Bakery & Elementor in recent years), and most importantly, the #COMMUNITY. Without these three ingredients, WordPress as software would just be a staging/beta for the .com SaaS.

It’s time to start planning alternative #WordPress related events that are independent of WordPress Central. We also need to start discussing how to make life easier for speakers and organisers at these events; speakers should at least have part, if not all, of their expenses covered.

This year at #WordCamp Larissa , we used multiple screens to display the schedule on the event day. The challenge was also to showcase our sponsors and rotate through various pages without physically going to each screen to reload or change the webpage.
