This could legitimately end Stop Killing Games.

📯On fedi we got asked about the palette: After comparing a bunch, my guess for how it was pulled back then to get the palette was "just let photoshop (or equivalent) guess the 15 colours needed" Here's background gradient taken from normal profiles, it is influenced by the monster's colours.

📯We made an example of this before but had to redo it cause we couldn't find the old one PMD profiles are just artworks scaled down with bilinear filter and a palette applied. It's the GBA era, of course they'll go the easy route.

what was that one again? charmeleon? char char? gluemander?
anyways, it's pokemon or pokémon, however ya wanna spell it.

ANYWAYS point is, this isn't rocket science and any decent artist is able to pull this off if they know how to index colours.

📯In a time when we're needed most, we've refused countless folks wanting to commission us because of taxes. Maybe we should work around it by exchanging service for goods rather than money, though this is harder to do in a digital landscape.

📯Sonic CD is a game where you go to the past and destroy the aid for bad robot creation, letting flowers bloom in peace. You can also destroy the illusion of the machine that does the misdeed, but that alone won't yield a good future.

Yeah yeah it's the art piece from the fangame bingo, I just wanted to post anti AI propaganda.

Oh yeah did you know ViHart still posts videos on Vimeo?

📯We'd been advised to stop posting art publicly and to keep it more to ourselves, fearing that it'll get used to train generative content. We don't know about this approach, what do y'all think?

cat locked, an mspaint drawing

by the way do let us know if you're actually blind cause the whole thing makes no sense... sure giving pictures more context via alt text is fine but it seems like some places don't like that and would rather have a direct description of the picture? we're uncomfortable about doing so and it would still exclude any non-english speaking communities from our content.
