basically i think if you put a distracting button with a shimmering animation in the corner of an app designed to quickly dump thoughts into a note, i think you should [ Not Be Allowed To Make Anything Ever Again]

the e in esports is short for estimated

A metro station advertisement for an esports event. "日本最大。高校eスポーツの祭典。" is written, but the e looks conspicuously like the standardized "estimated sign" (℮) from European packaging.

my wild speculation is that, judging by the translation typos, we could say someone was rushed. maybe it *was* actually legitimately meant to be quests downloaded to on-cartridge flash memory, then they found out that'd make the carts expensive and they scrambled to put them on the ROM. hence..

i think my project is starting to do too much of a little bit of everything

a tightly cropped screenshot of a git repository file listing. each file's name is out of frame, leaving only the commit messages. these messages read: "improved richtext state handling"; "separate filesystem module"; "add fanfic"; "shell out to new tool yayyy"; "improve ssg for questdump". a very wide assortment of topics seem to be addressed by this project.

a message from v360 from october 26, 2023:
for some reason found myself with a candy box tab open. i think the game would be lesser if they used `user-select: none` on the sprites. the whole point is that they feel nice to touch
again, cursor as hands inside the computer. things having different tactile feelings with different cursors. pointer means it has give. if you depressed it it'd do something. it's an offered action. i-beam means you can place the caret anywhere in there and

ah - i use neocities too. i use it together with jekyll (jekyllrb.com) which generates my site from layout files and lets me use markdown if i want to. maybe gets technical fast, but i think really all the best stuff lies in the layout files and its built-in blog features.

a layout file that shows most of an HTML file, with some blanks for the SSG to fill in with content

a blog post written in markdown, with a section at the start giving some metadata, such as a title, tags, and the layout file to use. after the first paragraph, a special "more" marker sets everything before it to show up on the blog overview page as a preview.

Content Languages set to only show Finnish and Japanese. I swear I had English set here, but it might've been implicit with the other two settings and maybe that implicitness was removed in an update.
