plot twist: i actually did get hacked but mr crypto scammer didn't realize those are just mastodon servers. try this on me like i don't already have to explain why i sent everyone a girldicksocial link from time to time
all my USB cables. rootkited.chopping up the text with unicode to look like an actual ransom letter was a nice touch

i think it's very neat how some projects skipped over 'my claude will write all my projects documentation for me' to 'your claude can write my projects documentation'

copyright+AI+decentralization don't mix. please don't the lowest handing fruit for an AI would be to flood Teia itself with takedowns as an easy target. the backend *is* decentralized so there's no credible way to prove that the license grant was agreed to and those protections wont apply

I wrote up a short blog post giving my thoughts on the new Anthropic cryptanalysis results against HAWK and AES. blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2026/07/29/s...

Some notes about Anthropic’s new results
Yesterday Anthropic published two new cryptanalysis results, both outputs of Claude Mythos, their (still) unreleased advanced model. The first of these results attacks a signature scheme called HAW…

i was so ready to give up believing this was a permissioned system that you had to ping someone and explain how you're completely normal and can be trusted to be indexed... but no! you *can* just do things

it's almost like a lot of formal method heads have a history of overstated claims. i predict a small rash of these as the hucksters get weeded out

I think that's fair. only that mentioning storage gives the wrong impression 1000 comments / sec (more than L1 can handle) for a year is ~8TB at max scale, even through a provider it's only $120/mo cost for $16 million in revenue. it's emphatically not for storage and feels strange for a nonprofit

if the fee justification is pinning you're charging something on the order of $1 million per terabyte. I'm pinning 8 TB for free :)

the user being targeted is the metals market maker. its why sequencer has to be in japan where hyperliquid, binance, and wintermute all are. who else needs a latency advantage that only matters inside a 600mi circle around tokyo? not sure why this never comes up
