Last week, our Co-ED @zubayra.bsky.social spoke at the National Endowment for Democracy's event marking 37 years since the massacre. As a student in Shanghai in 1989, she took to the streets in solidarity with the democracy movement.

NEW: Xinjiang has the highest detention capacity in the world, according to FT analysis - enough space for almost 1 in 40 people in the region - more than five years after the Chinese govt announced the camps had closed.
