(This is a _joke_, I don't advocate violence as a general solution. Imprisonment and ruin will do fine.) #environment #climatechange #eattherich #humour
A four-panel comic. The heading is "Little things you can do to save the environment". Each of the panels depicts a person doing things a little differently in an attempt to help the environment.

Each panel has a heading, which also describes what the person is doing: "Bike to work", "Try meatless Mondays", "Guillotine the corrupt corporate class that is poisoning the planet for profit", and "Recycle".

The depiction of the guillotine shows the person having lifted the bloody blade after the killing stroke, but the victim is not shown.

I think this been in place at #Horsforth rail station for about 3 years? Give or take. #NorthernRail on the job as usual. I think they’re waiting for it to rewild itself.

@thatswhatugets.bsky.social @mooneysart.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy It’s about time, I was promised one of these when I was 12 or something.
A page from “The Usborne Book of the Future”. The page is titled “Medical Emergency” and depicts an imagined fire truck of the future, as seen from the perspective of 1979. The fire truck is chunky and compact, with a wide wraparound windscreen, and is dealing with a car that has crashed and caught fire. It is one of many things the book promised me would exist when I grew up, some of which have sadly failed to materialise. But hey, we may not get clean air and verdant cities, but at least we get excitingly chunky emergency vehicles.

You’re supposed to use a spectrum analyser to prove this works. They’re expensive, so I didn’t 😆. What I *do* know is, without the antenna I get nothing, and with… #solar #OctopusEnergy

The #Guardian wants to know why this #UFO picture was never followed up on… BECAUSE IT’S A BLOODY REFLECTION OF A ROCK IN A LAKE.

Don’t panic about the asteroid, says the Guardian, whilst also heading the article with a *wildly* inaccurate image. The asteroid is *90m* across, not the bloody size of Mexico.

In blessedly lighter news, the BBC weather app is … er … having a moment. That’s not a hurricane, that’s the Apocalypse. Which at this point I might even welcome.
The BBC weather app showing a frankly terrifying wind speed of 13,697 mph.

I believe the term is “shot, chaser”
An excerpt from Wikipedia:

In April 2022, Carrey announced that he was considering retirement from the film industry, explaining, "I have enough. I've done enough. I am enough." When asked if he would ever come back, his response was, "It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I'm taking a break."[115] In February 2024, it was announced that Carrey would reprise his role as Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
