USK Lebanon Diaspora - today's meeting. For details on the two images, check the alt text! @artimani.bsky.social @yalla-suzanni.bsky.social @joyhechtarts.bsky.social #urbansketchers #Lebanon #portrait #art #sketch #tradart

Screenshot from a zoom gathering of urban sketchers of the Lebanese diaspora. Each person is holding up what they've been working on. Judy sketches in ink, though unusually she put a bit of color into her piece today. Lina is working on stitching patterns into heavy paper. Today she stitched a hamza, or "hand of Fatima," though. Joy is working on a collage of the coast of Newfoundland or someplace like it. Suzanne is holding up an ink sketch of Shafik, while Shafik is holding up a sheet with ink portraits of all five of us!

@Artimani's (Shafik Timani) - ink sketches of all five of today's sketchers. From top left, Judy, Suzanne - next row Joy, Lina, and bottom right a self-portrait surrounded not by a halo but by his large noise-cancelling headlphones!

Our first post! The weekly sharing of images at the USK Lebanon zoom, with artists in Bahrain, Lebanon, New York, Ontario, and Liberia. You can join us too! #urbansketchers #Lebanon

Zoom screenshot of four artists sharing what they've been working on and showing their smiling faces. We love getting together to sketch and talk about Lebanon, life, art, and (often!) food!
