the actual combat was really fun and unique too even if it wasn't the hardest with having only one perpetual switching slot, guns with small ammo pools and no reloads and all the gravity power stuff. all that and having real squad dynamics really grabbed my attention.

one of my favorite examples for the wrong reasons while not technically being a full morality "system" is BioShock where story wise they want you to free the Little Sisters from their mind slavery but also killing them gives way more of ADAM. one of the games most important resources.

playing it through the Epyx version and yeah the original Rogue is still awesome. it's also interesting historically because since the original version dates back to 1981 and ran on Unix that also makes it one of the earlier attempts at a computer RPG that wasn't just a text prompt and parser

it's only a demo up to the end of Dead Simple but The Definitive DOOM II looks it's going to be an excellent retake of the original 32 levels. expect larger, more detailed maps and a bit meaner fights with way more monsters and a few that are brand new. www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/... #doom
