For the age case in particular, discovery is where the case turns. The Supreme Court has held that federal employees seeking reinstatement must show age was the deciding factor. That proof lives in internal records and in the testimony of the people who made the decisions.

One case is brought under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. The other is a civil rights case. Both are now in the phase where each side must produce documents, answer written questions under oath, and sit for depositions. This includes members of DOGE and others who helped it...

🏛️ USAID still exists in law. Congress never repealed the 1998 statute. Our cases seek reinstatement of its career staff, a remedy federal law allows. The foreign aid reform debate matters, and it should start from a restored agency.
