I'm also using the KDE desktop environment, it feels very familiar which I like. I'm hopeful I'll be able to iron out the issues I'm having as they're mostly minor things. I just need to find a good knowledge base to learn from as the official reddit has been less than helpful so far.

Even with the difficulties though this is a solid step in breaking away from Microslop because Fuck You @microsoft.com , you did this to yourself shoving unwanted AI bullshit down my throat. You're successfully chasing away a user and customer of 30+ years. How many of us can you afford to lose?

There is work to be done but I'd say this is a reasonably successful foray into Linux though I knew this one would likely be the easiest since it's got both an AMD processor and GPU. I know my laptop and my other desktop with Nvidia GPUs won't play as nicely.

I've got it on it's own 1tb drive but I need to look up how to give it access to the drive with my Windows steam library to try and see if I can launch games from there and not have duplicate installations for the dual boot. Speaking of the dual boot is clunky and slow so not a fan of that.

I also am having trouble finding appropriate software in the catalog like the driver software for my GPU and the only way my sound works is through my headphones. It doesn't even acknowledge my speakers are there which I'm guessing is also a driver issue.

Update: I successfully got Bazzite running. I haven't been able to test out much but everything seems to be okay? There is definitely a learning curve and I definitely don't like the "you don't need an antivirus" mentality that seems to pervade the community. Obscurity only works until it doesn't.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in that I'm agreeing with you and adding on a lament that the stuff they DO focus on doesn't usually address the things I think they should like I love that NMS keeps working to add on new free features but for the love of god I wish they would work on some of their bugs.

Don't get me wrong. I love the watch but I've already lost the charging puck so I thought "I'll buy a couple of charging stands and they'll have dedicated homes so this doesn't happen again" but apparently there was enough of a shift that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 doesn't work with prior chargers.
