Trying out something admittedly selfish and self-indulgent....a very modest first result so far but going to see how it plays out over the year...!!

I've realized I've started thinking I will only have value in the eyes of others if I have a certain net worth or metrics associated with me- it's not healthy, and I need to fix that mindset!

Important Second Part: Being online constantly has clearly been detrimental to my mental health so I am making an effort to minimize the time I spend in social media spaces. I'll still post updates and try to support friends, but otherwise, minimal presence.

It's so funny to me that I got another comment saying definitely Slaanesh But it's admittedly a relief as a new fan to see/hear that the grumpy folks are very much considered a vocal minority

From my own research on it, it sounds like female Custodes had already been introduced in other material awhile ago, and that this wasn't the first time they'd been brought up? But yeah, I've learned that over the years, GW has made many changes resulting in "warhammer is over" type reactions lol

120

Ursa Marida 🧸🧰 {indefinite hiatus} @ursamarida.bsky.social · 17/01/2026

Being a new Warhammer fan is wild at the moment because on the one hand, questions like "Which Chaos God is responsible for toe socks?" have serious answers. On the other hand, parts of the fandom are on fire rn because *looks at notes* there might be women in the Custodes??

I guess it was a matter of time, but I can't help but be bummed because I actually liked that artist's style, and skeb doesn't really have any reporting options despite stating the platform is anti-ai?????

000

Ursa Marida 🧸🧰 {indefinite hiatus} @ursamarida.bsky.social · 24/12/2025

There's not much I can do per skeb's TOS, but I do feel let down because the artist had previously done one of my favourite pieces that I had received from skeb.

000

Ursa Marida 🧸🧰 {indefinite hiatus} @ursamarida.bsky.social · 24/12/2025

Disappointed recently to receive a skeb back that was very clearly a result of ai output- starkly different style from a previous request, 4 fingers on one hand, missing hand on the other, etc
