A new restaurant, Henhouse, is now open in Allentown. Henhouse is one of the first recipients of the URA's 2026 Commercial Facade Grant funding round to complete their renovation project, and we're thrilled to join Mayor O'Connor to celebrate another success of the Main & Main Initiative.

The Standard on Fifth is bringing new housing and affordability to the growing Uptown neighborhood! The URA joined Beacon Communities for the ribbon cutting of the new 51-unit building on Fifth Avenue, which includes 40 affordable apartments and 11 market-rate.

Uptown Flats is now open! Thanks to Bethlehem Haven and Action-Housing, 34 new units of housing are available for women experiencing homelessness. The URA provided a $2.5 million loan, helping to bring Uptown Flats across the finish line and create safe, affordable housing for our neighbors.

More housing opportunities coming to Pittsburgh! Last week, the URA Board approved $7.3 million in total investments to support two developments: Ross Lofts in Downtown and Carrick Senior Apartments in Carrick. These projects will create a total of 91 affordable units and seven market-rate units.

Pittsburgh Urban Initiatives, a URA affiliate, has invested $12 million in New Markets Tax Credits for the construction of the Wilford A. Payne Medical Center in Homewood. The investment marks PUI’s first closing from its record-high $60 million NMTC allocation awarded in December 2025.
