Just ordered a Tinto de Verano.... Purely on what I've seen on the Internet! Vaguely similar to Sangria, however, Sangria is a usually made for holidaymakers, Tinto is for locals.... And.... Here it is....And it's delicious! 🍹

Now outside my favourite bar in Las Palmas, I've visited here several times over the last 2 times I've been here. The last time, the owner remembered me and said "Sangria again?" "Yes! How did you know?!" I suddenly remembered him.

Chang (Thai beer) is one of the best I've ever had. Very expensive in the UK, cheaper in Las Palmas.... Almost free in Bangkok. I've been to Bangkok and believe me, you can get absolutely pissed out of your skull for less than £20. Cheap hotels, cheap beer/food, great place to visit....

One advantage about travelling alone, is realising that a hotel is just somewhere you sleep. Why pay £150 a night to sleep if you're mostly not going to be there? My place here cost me £824 for 15 nights (£54.93 per night) It's good enough for me, my room is big, dbl bed, clean, great location.

Yesterday, I discovered a beer I'd not seen before - Tropical Limon (Lemon) It's refreshing and at only 2% ABV, you'll not end up drunk after having a few. Spanish is excellent but too strong for me, unfortunately, all their regular beers are. Might alternate with these from now on.

Since I had my neck tattoo, I've been pulled by airport guys twice who figured my tattoos = he's dodgy. Both times, a smile, enjoy your holiday. You know what? Didn't bother me at all. Had more shit at Heathrow than anywhere else.

It's so relaxing here, locals just chat and there's no shouting or drunken arguments etc. I've only ever seen fights and aggression in the UK. Would I consider moving to Spain? Definitely....

Prices vary here for a bottle of beer depending on whether it's a fancy place (£2.12) or a bar in the middle of nowhere (£1.27) This is a relatively low key bar (£1.70)

I've realised over the years that owning 'stuff' isn't important. Most of you know I truly love wristwatches, and that I'd buy an insane one if I had the pennies.... But.... Here, sat in Las Palmas, getting more memories is much better. That's I love the Spanish.... And I love Las Palmas. 🇪🇸

Ever since I was young, I've always believed in searching out little local bars when travelling. I'd much rather be sat with locals than holidaymakers. Just popped in here, cheerful chatty locals, cheerful owner.... And a bottle of Tropical beer (good local Spanish beer) for £1.27. 🇪🇸 🍺
