An ultra-small antenna can wirelessly transmit data through tissue to external devices, which could help diagnose neurodegenerative diseases earlier, deliver drugs on demand or even deliver neuromodulation treatments for conditions like epilepsy or Parkinson’s disease. www.gla.ac.uk/news/headlin...

Triboelectric Nanogenerators (TENGs) are energy harvesters that can turn motion into electricity. This paper is a guide on how to test them, so that results can be reliably compared across different laboratories. advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
Surface topography influences TENG output via the real contact area: in this case (PVS in contact with Mica), power output is shown to decrease with increasing roughness (on the PVS) because of the corresponding decrease in real contact area shown in the optical images looking through the transparent Mica.
