here's hoping i will eventually get this fixated on making you all look at my *characters* rolling experiment piece, i've been noodling on it in various acrylic types, occasionally with additives to learn how they work with & on each other, over a couple weeks

yet another fanged orchid painting, this one is in acrylic on a small square panel with a multitude of textures because I've been using it to try out acrylic additives like drying retardant & glaze medium as well as acrylic paint markers

asskicking mail day (and auspicious af for reasons idk if i feel like broadcasting), starring @margravelucian.bsky.social, @tenebrouspress.bsky.social, and @sethanikeem.bsky.social's kitties i wasn't expecting my contributor copy of the latter yet but that's mostly due to Wait Shit It's September?

a grey box with Threshold Tarot on it in gothic calligraphy and an eclipse setting behind the words, a book titled Your Body Is A Fever Dream, with a monstrous spectral space swan on the cover, and a couple stickers of little cartoon cats reading tiny versions of said book, all on a filing cabinet

important lesson: the skinnier version appears much smaller at the same size & has a weird little addon to accomodate a hanging hole

two cutout wooden stars on a desk, one is very 'christmas tree topper' shaped, with an odd circle in the top point to accomodate a little hole for string or wire, and one has eight evenly broad rays

test runs with some bits i didn't have to sand quite as much as the large version will need, end version is probably going to look like the bottom one also sort of wondering about things i can do with the growing pile of these that currently live in a jar on my desk

three branches on a wooden desk, dried & stripped of bark, stained with fuchsia, purple and an ombre of purple to black, then coated with iridescent topcoats

found a handful of hiking-size branches in my office closet i forgot were there going to make myself a staff, similar to these that i was making for a while when i was bored or too tired to Art >.>

i keep wondering, how in some towns, Flock refuses to take their cameras down, where the people who run shit are putting bags over them instead of removing them anyway, aren't they on public property? how are those then not technically discarded equipment?

resenting having to take a break on this today as the upstairs sink is clogged but in a way that the neighbors' is too? meaning cleaning up after paint is probably No for a bit not sure if it's Done done but it's got me excited about the big version, which was part of the point-

more has been added to the quoted painting; it has yellow accents in some of the shapes, a lot of the star's straight edges have been refined & clarified & more organic intrusions have been added

started a small version of this to get the hang of some things like how glaze medium behaves, and transparency in regular acrylic vs acrylic gouache

listing on ebay for "Mens Lightweight Hooded Long Cardigan Coat Open Front Drape Cape with Pockets", showing the model in a face-hiding batman-like dramatic pose, in what would be a reasonably good goth cowl cardigan thing if it were black, only it's had a horrific all-over slop print of rainbow raccoons laid in as if it were greenscreen effects

this got unexpectedly important to me while i wasn't paying attention (esp for a thing i started as an excuse to make a book of existing art that somehow sprouted a narrative?) so obviously it's time for my brain to scream at me to stuff it in a hole & only ever think about what could have been

same content as quoted post's image, a couple pages have changed or swapped places, and the desk is messier

posting some of the sketches for the one i Do sort of have, as a test to see if the website will let me post images at all right now

several pencil sketches of a pointy, androgynous figure; one full figure in the center, two partial profiles & a head where they're sptttered in blood, and a very quick thumb of standing looking at something

a hybrid signal @unknown.garden · 13/07/2026

this thing reaches at least to my ribs, i know there are bigger canvases but for someone who primarily works on stuff that fits in my lap, this is practically a monument it stalled out on the star shape & i started adding eruptions of the kind of patterns found on phalaenopsis to break the edges up

a big canvas with the start of something happening on it; a 3d rayed star traced out with some of the rays being broken up by the kinds of spotting patterns that show up on grocery store orchids

one more, because i have 'white' and 'super opaque white' fabric paints, and hadn't done both previous were both the super opaque, i think, and this is the regular; needs more coats but gets better edges. got a little crowded but still reads ok
