Heddiw, mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi cyhoeddi'r Gyllideb Derfynol 2026-27. Darllen ein hymateb 👇👇
Graphic showing universities wales statement:
“Nid yw Cyllideb Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer 2026-27 yn adlewyrchu’r pwysau ariannol parhaus sy’n wynebu ein prifysgolion. Rydym yn siomedig nad oes yna fwy o gynhaliaeth i brifysgolion, ac yn arbennig nad yw'r cyllid hanfodol a dderbyniwyd y llynedd wedi'i gydgrynhoi.

“Mae sector prifysgolion cynaliadwy yn allweddol i ddatgloi buddsoddiad, cynhyrchiant a thwf busnesau. Â’r gefnogaeth gywir, gall prifysgolion barhau i gyflawni’r arloesedd, y twf a’r sgiliau lefel uchel sydd eu hangen ar Gymru i ffynnu.”

Today, the Welsh Government published its Final Budget for 2026-27. Read our response 👇👇
Graphic showing universities wales statement:
The Welsh Government Budget for 2026-27 does not reflect the continued financial pressures facing our universities. We are disappointed not to see further support for universities, and in particular that the critical in-year funding received last year has not been consolidated.

“A sustainable university sector is key to unlocking business investment, productivity and growth. With the right support, universities can continue to deliver the innovation, growth and high-level skills that Wales needs to thrive.”
