We teamed up with The Harris Poll to ask young people across the U.S. what matters to them and how they want to shape what comes next. And the message is clear: Young people believe they can make a difference! The question is: Are decision-makers listening? The results: bit.ly/4yFQDcs
This image is an infographic from UNICEF USA titled "You've got something to say. We're listening." It features statistics about young people's influence in the country, including figures like 82% believe they can make a difference, 56% are motivated by making an impact, and 62% plan to vote in state elections due to economic concerns. There are graphics of speech bubbles and a megaphone, as well as a photo of a group of young people gathered outdoors. The bottom section highlights that 70% think their age group isn't listened to and 74% say involvement in policymaking will help the country. This infographic contains statistics from a UNICEF USA Harris Youth Poll. It highlights that 42% intend to vote locally, 47% for state elections, and 50% for federal elections in 2024, all showing increases. It emphasizes different ways of participation: 34% volunteering, 26% discussing issues online, and 21% signing petitions. A quote in the image states that showing up is more than voting. It reports 74% of youth say global events impact their life. Additionally, it encourages making voices heard and promoting child-centered governance.
