Does anyone happen to know Shadowrun 6th ed? I could use someone to give me some info on how to play a mage.

I mean, i could try and make my own thing, but I would have to find people who want the same kinda vibe, and I'm pretty sure I've hit GM burn out of my own making, trying to get people interested in an idea that I was super excited for, but no one else really was. No shade to them, it just happens.

Have you ever just had a strong desire for a certain kinda vibe? I'm stuck on a brain worm inspired by the GATE anime and Project Wingman/Ace combat, and it refuses to leave me. It's such a specific vibe too, and I don't think I'll find anything to scratch that itch.

I'm just glad that I have found groups of people who have stuck with my awkward ass long enough to know who I really am behind the social mistakes. I hope that people learn from the mistakes of others. It's ok to want the same relationship that you see on screen with someone, but that takes time.

I know some people may look at this post and question my own self-awareness, as I know I have fallen into these trappings myself at times. I speak on these matters as someone who has made these mistakes and wished to better themselves. As I said in the first post, good and bad memories.

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 25/06/2025

Seeing talk about how people act in fandoms has brought to me a lot of memories, both good and bad. The parasocial trap is an easy and dangerous one to fall into. Remember, they are people, the same as you or me, and while you may know part of them from videos, you don't know them, their values, etc

Zombie, by Cranberry, I think. I hate every cover and version of it. I keep getting it recommended to me by the algorithm, and I can't stand it. I didn't like it when it was first recommended, and no matter how many times I say I don't want it to be on my feed, it keeps showing up.

Weirdest? Hehe, I would have to say that would be Syn Th (Said like Synth.) I never elaborated who or what they are, but they are a mage in the employ of a street gang, who delights in eating the flesh of their kills. They look like someone took a fox girl, and stretched their limbs till they broke.

Like I said in the last post, I haven't had much experience with shipping my own characters. The only time I really did involved an ex of mine, so there is a bitter-sweetness to it. Maybe I'll revisit this in the future. For now, I don't have enough experience with ships to claim a favorite!

010

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Shipping has always been... an odd topic for me. Despite loving romance and seeing how it goes, I've always felt too...awkward with it? Maybe it comes from being a bit awkward in real life, but I've never really felt comfortable tried to push the story of characters being shipped. Maybe some day.

010

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

My process is actually pretty simple, start with three words that define the character. Nao was 'Mute Artificial Soul'. Selman was 'Big Pirate Thug'. Illja was 'Ukrainian Wandering Bear'. Generally you want to have one noun, one adjective, and the last word can be anything that help cement the idea!

020

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

My main reason for making Oc's is honestly for Roleplays. I've always been a big Roleplayer, writing stories and telling tales with other folks. From small slice of life, to grand table-top adventures, I have always loved playing characters. Explains a lot, really.

010

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Favorite design is a tough one too. I like a lot of simple designs, but I would have to say my favorite is probably my second oldest OC, Nao! She's a living doll made by Volo's soul magic, and the first one that has a true artificial soul in her. She has been one of my most popular OC's honestly!

The original art for her. I still look back on this fondly. SoulHaxs was a good dude for drawing her out for me.

She showed up in Dark Deity, the Fire Emblem inspired SRPG. Currently, my only character to appear in a real product!

010

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

My favorite one? That's a hard one, mostly because it swaps with whoever I'm having the most fun with at the time. Probably would be Illja Holub right now, my cursed boyo from a table top called Osmond. Dude needs his hand held to keep from randomly warping around the world. He's super fun to play.

000

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Newest one? That's probably Selman. Selman is a big pirate themed boyo made for a Fabula Ultima game run by @loocahmadooplah.bsky.social. He's a ship captain for the Void Venture Company, carrying crew and cargo through the perilous Voidsea, all while searching the void for something lost long ago.

Unedited Bear | Comms Open! (5/5 Open) @uneditedbear.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Oldest OC is the original form of Volo, called Ein back then. He was based off the Grim angel from Riviera: the Promised Land, which I was obsessed with back in the day. His original art, and hairstyle that was kept through the years actually came from one really cool drawing of Ein I found on DA!

Can't find the original picture, and not going to search through DA to try and do so. Maybe some day, but not today!

He's gotten a little tanner over the years. Not sure why, but I like it!

A screenshot of a post by a user named @coffeespoonie that was edited to be about OCs. It reads:
"I want to be extremely clear about this: I never *don't* want to be asked about my OC. It is never a bad or inappropriate time for OC questions. I will never be displeased by questions about my OC. At no point in my life will I ever be like "No thank you, I don't want to talk about my character right now."

Wish mine would have some kind of answer for me. It's been on my mind all day, and I've been unable to shake any kind of lesson or idea free from it. That's what makes me think it's just anxiety getting the better of my reasoning.

Much as the Gif is silly, It's pretty much where I am, mentally atleast. Could just be my brain firing off on the wrong cylinders, or something I don't even know about bothering me, but it's left me pondering all of it today.
