There, that change in direction —- in acknowledgment, that brought out the real smile in Anakin. He straightened, chest out, chin high. Giving Kenobi a thoughtful nod. “I won’t let you down. .Obi-Wan.”

A thin line formed on Skywalker’s lips —- trying everything to hold the boiling pride that began to reach his throat. “Thank you, Master. I don’t know what to say —- I’ve. .I’ve waited for this for a long time.”

Even if it didn’t always come out correctly. .he wanted to be more. Always more. ‘Kneel, Padawans.’ And they did, Skywalker bowed his head, allowing his braid to sway before his eyes —- just as the closed, and caught the glimpse of familiar red boots before him.

Bringing Anakin out of his own head. “To be a Jedi Knight means to be a representative of The Jedi, and the Galaxy at large. You are more than yourself with this title.” Anakin’s back tightened, his shoulders rigid. ‘More than yourself.’ He thought —- but he was always attempting that.

Were required to face trials. Test of the flesh or mind —- of their wits and strengths. In the end, earning their right as Jedi Knights amongst the Order. But with the war, came the need to make this ceremony. . .quicker. “Do not take this lightly.” Windu’s voice cracked across open air

Strode before them. Giving a speech on the knowledge of The Force, of the Jedi and its history —- and how something like this had never been done before. In the months following Geonosis —- the Galaxy was in greater need of Jedi than before. In the past, Padawan’s

As if they were. .family. Or something close to it. Anakin stood in a row of eight other Jedi Padawan’s. All of them tilted straight like stilts, their individual Padawan braids hung loosely or connected to them in some form. All of them, attentive, proud, smiling, listening in as Master Windu

There was nothing like the feeling of being surrounded by other Jedi. Master Yoda called it harmony, Windu called it a strengthen bond —- but Anakin knew it as something else. As if the Force would surge so powerfully and so collectively, that all of them could seemingly feel as one.

A memory flashes in his mind. A red saber matches itself to blue, clashing amongst rain and the ever silence of a forgotten temple. “Ventress.” He says, although it’s more of a snarl than a name. “She hasn’t shown herself since. But I doubt I killed her.”

“It is.” Anakin says in a stalwart turn, his hands clasped behind his back —- as if professionalism and Jedi training exuded from his very stance. When he knew that was more than a lie. “. .Can I help you with something?”

There is a tensity to his shoulders that could only be expressed as a predator ready to snap. A jaw so tight it might as well break steel —- but he remembers where he is, and more importantly who is and what he means to her. “Understanding? Of what. That I enjoy the garden?”

Across the race ways of Coruscant, where 500 Republica found itself raising higher than the speeders could even rise —- was the perfect vantage of a certain Senators apartment. And here, from the garden balcony of The Jedi Temple —- a certain Jedi stared right back.

“Normal to me, it is.” Anakin matched his Master’s impression, a grin the size of a canyon on his face. “Ha ha. .” Suddenly, Skywalker’s face turns serious and cold. Like a statue made of brimstone. “Master, I need to tell you something.”

Or the power. He thought for a second, before imagining Obi-Wan as small, and very green - - which brought a laugh out of him. “Only if you didn’t have to talk backwards like he does.”

Anakin paid no mind to Wren giving him a quick glance. His gaze was set on Master Kenobi. As the Jedi Master spoke with finality, Skywalker’s shoulders and chest rose with a bravado of breath only he could bear. Finally, a reason for action. To prove himself once more.

And soon, as that memory passed, so did Anakin’s grin. His stoic, almost carved statue like look reformed on pouting lips. “Understood, Master. We’ll keep in touch by comms.”

Anakin smile, maybe for the first time since the three had begun their discussion. His smile was prideful, too much so. The thought of Mace Windu crossed his mind: ‘Pride, Skywalker, is the cousin of carelessness. Take pride in the fake that you show humility. Nothing more.’

His metallic index finger, however somewhat slowly, pointed to a lower half of the diagram. He was. .still getting use to his new arms reflexes, and sometimes his mind thought faster than it could react. “Force him to come to 𝙪𝙨, Master.”

Apart of himself enjoyed doing it, more than he’d like to let on. Skywalker pointed at the holographic image, his golden prosthetic limb reflected the sky blues and sizzling whites of the digital interface. “We can split The Clones into a pincer formation.”

𝙎𝙆𝙔𝙒𝘼𝙇𝙆𝙀𝙍. @undoneprophecy.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

“We’ll have the 212th with us.” Anakin said, almost too quickly, maybe even before Kenobi could respond. The Jedi had seemingly become General’s over night. Although you had to be a Knight or Master to become one, it was often Anakin found himself commanding The Clones in battle.

𝙎𝙆𝙔𝙒𝘼𝙇𝙆𝙀𝙍. @undoneprophecy.bsky.social · 08/12/2025

Anakin joined Kenobi’s side as they both walked to the table. He let the sleeves of his darker Jedi robe cover his hands, both hands - - as they hid into a grasp underneath the cloth. “It was his fault.” Anakin said with a jest. “The age is getting to him.”

𝙎𝙆𝙔𝙒𝘼𝙇𝙆𝙀𝙍. @undoneprophecy.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

Anakin shot him a look, before stone like lips began to crack into a shy smile. “We are in a war, Master.” Anakin said, his tone lighter than before - - less full of dread. “. .It’s gone now. I’m sure everything will be alright.”
