One of the most important places on the campus is definitely "Trumienka" bakery which translates to "the Coffin" as it's located next to a funeral parlour. They also work on quantum computer with Politechnika Warszawska. They provide system for addressing each of 20 ions Independent my and to couple pair of them to increase the computational power. Politechnika develops ion-based quantum computer. #QTorch #QuanTour

In Wrocław, the QD also had the opportunity to use an unusual means of transport. Wrocław Tech has its own cable car! It's called Polinka and connects two university campuses. The suitcase will fly over the Odra River, admiring the city from above. That’s quite cool, isn’t it? #QTorch #QuanTour

The histogram for low excitation under cw non-resonant excitation looks like in the photo. This is measured with SSNPD NbN detectors optimized for 1550 nm (86 and 92% quantum efficiency), but the absorption at 930 nm should still be around 40%. The time jitter is below 50 ps. #QuanTour #QTorch

We started collecting g2 data. Tomek with the Mascot are watching it. In the meantime Maja and Marcin are working on the Ti:Sa to achieve mode-locking, so we can measure under pulsed excitation with 140 fs pulses quasi-resonantly. Humidity is our enemy today. We fight back with nitrogen purge.
