The guy is literally disappearing up his own backside. Unfortunately he has taken others with him.

To be fair I doubt Trump has the slightest idea or interested in what is a secret and what isn't.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. His supporters are immune to facts.

A guess a bit like Netanyahu - both corrupt, both trying to avoid jail.

These data centres bring no local benefit - indeed pretty much their sole purpose is to put people out of work.

Unfortunately the civil service was some time ago infiltrated when Lord Browne was given control of some recruiting by the Tories and brought in a lot of fossil fuel advocates. Thus you often see even the current government falling for wheezes such as this, CCS, blue hydrogen and similar.

Is this for real? You'd have to be pretty dim not to know this happened. What difference it made I don't know but we've just been treated to a concrete example of the level of interference when sections of X (Twitter) went pretty quiet after Ukraine interrupted a couple of Russian data centres.

These AI data centres will simply put everyone out of work - American or H1Bs

Unfortunately I think the Green Party could well do without "friends" such as yourself.

It's a new spin on 'the art of the deal' when you work to weaken your own side to force yourself to accept a bad deal.

Rather predictable interview on Today this morning where a clearly crazed Nick Robinson asked Polanski in a dozen ways heavily loaded and prejudiced equivalents of "when did you stop beating your spouse".

Not so far-fetched. The man is clearly unhinged.

I guess a problem for Farage is that he's doing very well out of the current systems which his party would destroy by importing the corruption, chaos and Russian influence currently afflicting the USA.

These overpriced planes surely go to the heart of how the US government is being fleeced by military contractors. When you run out of weapons prosecuting an unopposed (albeit pointless) war against an adversary without any air cover something has gone badly wrong.

Unfortunately the real point here is that Netanyahu and climate change denialists will be signing to the heavens after this counterproductive tin-eared intervention.

I do think there is a genuine phenomenon of becoming a prisoner of a lie. You can see that in the UK with Brexit - the more it is shown to be based on lies the more some people who voted for it double down.

Shows how easily played Trump is. Has he actually made one single 'deal' in this term (or the last for that matter)? I guess it's difficult when you make it quite plain you have no intention of sticking to your own side of any 'deal' made.

Does seem a strange thing to have done.

Surely we have a duty to preserve those "great" deals negotiated by Liz Truss?

Very worrying. At the same time providers like Google and Microsoft are getting increasingly slapdash about existing services (that don't gobble electricity and steal your data an jobs) still working - in addition to polluting them with a lot of friction trying to force you to use AI.

Probably a dubious road to walk - people are coming in all the time.

Surely Trump has done brilliantly. By both bringing into question the rule of law and being openly corrupt and championing crypto - the currency favoured by criminals - he could yet actually manage to topple the US financial system.

My wife used to say about the attitude of nuns that ran the kids' preschool - "as far as they are concerned they are all god's children".

I simply don't want to go back to the days of the Shrewsbury 2. Brexit was a huge calamity and climate change is a clear and present danger as well as Reform who want to hand the country over to Russian control. We need a sane government that distances itself from the PC excesses.

Maybe - but then we will simply get into a cycle whose ultimate destination is debating the nature of consciousness.

This seems to be a rather limited view of what AI might be capable of including just one model of AI. To start with the model could easily conjecture and start imitating the thought processes that lead to the art rather than simply the art objects themselves.

Trumps seems almost literally allergic to truth.

We need a 'whos who' of the intellectual Titans of Brexit - take David Davis (their top intellectual) that didn't know the Irish border was an international border. Then you've got those lesser Thatcherites such as John Redwood. Or David Frost who signed a Brexit agreement he hadn't read.

It's not like Trump keeps his stupidity and hostility to everyone including his own supporters secret. He has pretty much said explicitly that it doesn't matter much what happens to his supporters because he himself hasn't that long left to live.

Anything that threatens the dollar standard for oil and other commodities risks calling in the debt. What Trump has done, by undermining the rule of law, exposing America's military weakness, and supporting crypto currencies used by criminals is undermine confidence that the US won't default.
001
underreported.bsky.social @underreported.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
More worryingly he seems to have difficulty knowing what side he is on, what is secret - and most of all - what is true.
000
underreported.bsky.social @underreported.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Pretty empty threat really because the fact is that people voted for him when there was no doubt that he would be corrupt, rarely tell the truth and break the law repeatedly. Obviously the world will, with luck, be a better place when he's gone but the electorate will be as ignorant as before.

Very strange there isn't more opposition since their main purpose is to put people out of work. And they directly compete with humans for power and water - essentially people are being forced to pay for their own demise.

We found it was very hard to tell Americans about the National Health Service in the UK. For example They simply didn't believe it. The idea of a health visitor who came round to see you after having a child was regarded as something no amount of money could buy.

How many people wish they were Donald Trump? Can anyone name someone who is a friend of Trump?

The UK electorate needs to take notice. If your leader is a traitor is isn't traitorous. So when Farage opens our security to Russian control if he's PM he can.
