Did you catch the newest single by @underneathtl.bsky.social ? I sweat this is the most melodic duo in the scene right now. Slip away with Daydream for just a little bit. Find my review at start-track.com/single-under... and stream it from there As always, support artists

The single cover for Daydream is a heavy purple filter over cumulus clouds and some stars in the sky. The silhouette of a lookout tower is above the level of the cloud on the left. Underneath the Lookout is written in the top write. The bottom left has the song title- daydream- in script

What’s a good album length? So far we have 10 songs. Of which 90% are finished. I know I said like summer. But i was ill. And the album thus far start to finish has a song for every season. So it’s fun. I love it so much and can’t wait to share it. I’m so excited about these songs. - Craig

If anyone refers to this UTL album as laptop ska/reggae/dub then I’ll have an aneurysm. Actual real instruments currently used… - Electric Guitar - Acoustic Guitar - Bass - Trumpet - Flugelhorn - Melodica - Flute - Piano - Keyboard - Ukulele - Synths - Sampler - Drum machines

There’s a track on this album where Suzy is basically playing classical piano and I want to say “jazzy” trumpet to liquid drum and bass (her idea, not mine) and it’s so fucking cool. When I listen to it it reminds me of driving very late at night with the orange glow of street lights zooming past.

It’s funny that when you’re mixing music and you step back from it for a few weeks, to clear your ears (and brain) then come back to it and something is off and it sounds all weird…. And it’s because you have your headphones on the wrong way round 🤦‍♂️

It’s a lovely day for some vocal harmonies and trumpet 🎺 though I now have way too many takes because I can’t stop coming up with ideas for how this song could go

It’s decided. @suzyska.bsky.social is the best bandmate. All other bandmates are rubbish and everyone should just have Suzy in their band. Wait! No. I’m not sharing.

We’re not killing the trumpet. Craig has only just got used to hearing actual, real brass instruments in the music he is involved with.
