The English dub of Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You is absolutely amazing...and shows what most dub fans already knew: Canadian dubs are great. More please lol. Great job by the whole cast on this endearing slow-burn romance

Perfect example of a romance anime that is not only charming and funny, but with a lot of heart as well. You know it's a great romantic comedy when you also root for the side characters to get together as well. You and I are Polar Opposites Season 2 gets a 9/10.

I finished watching both seasons of Wind Breaker. This is one of the better delinquent shows I've watched. Glad I took the time to watch this.

I finished watching Sparks of Tomorrow. This was really good. The animation was amazing, the story was decent, characters were okay. Obviously, Kyo-Ani has had better shows, but this one was a pretty good watch. 8/10

You know, I'm glad I grew up in a time where there were poop jokes, fart jokes, inappropriate humor, shows like Ren and Stimpy, South Park and Family Guy...because Chainsmoker Cat is definitely for people who can appreciate that kind of comedy. This anime is gross...but funny as hell.

First season of Wind Breaker is finished! Needless to say the homies were right. This anime is pretty damn good! They were scrapping in this show. The fight between Bofurin and Shishitosen though 🔥🔥. Sakura is such a tsundere lol. Anyway, 8/10. Starting Season 2 tomorrow.

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You is a light-hearted and endearing slow-burn romance about two adults who become more close by just enjoying smoking together. It's the simplicity of it all. One of my favorite anime of the season hands down. More please. 9/10

Questioning people's anime fandom because they don't like a particular trope or show is weak as hell. Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime of all time. There are some fans who don't like Cowboy Bebop...and that's fine, but I'm NOT gonna make a whiny thinkpiece about fake anime fans over it.

As a kid growing up in the 90s and getting into adulthood in the 2000s, these anime really shaped me. I could easily do a Top 20 of anime that really shaped me, but I'll keep it light.

And here's a reason why physical media is so important. I have the Blu-ray for Wolf's Children and there's a commentary where Mike McFarland is talking with the cast and staff one at a time about the movie. You're not gonna see this commentary anywhere else. Gotta rewatch it as well.

I'm continuing with the honoring of Mike McFarland. Next up, Wolf Children, one of the most beautiful anime movies ever. Mike does a great job directing this dub and @colleenclink.bsky.social gives one of her best performances as Hana.

Nah. He's had an account for a while now because I put in his handle and he's already blocked. I don't have you blocked unless you're on that Vic supporter list...and I blocked that whole list a long time ago. He's been spying on Kim.

Rewatching Summer Wars in this day and age shows that using technology for everything isn't always good. OZ is a virtual reality in this movie and one AI nearly fucked it all up. Anime has always been ahead of the curve showing how technology can be our worst enemy.

Ruby Bridges was 6-years-old when she stepped into the history books. Bravely accompanied by her mother, she was the first Black child to desegregate an all-white school in the South. It was not long ago… Today is her birthday. She is still with us. She is 72. Happy birthday, Ruby Bridges 💜
