Day #4 Yu-Gi-Tober: Saggi The Dark Clown #yugioh

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Every time I go to the plus sized thrift store I wind up finding something so dang cute. Now I just need to pick what event this upcoming week I'm wearing it at...

I don't own a playset of ripple or warmonger's so I personally think it's the perfect time to ban both forever actually #fabtcg

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Im definitely super curious to see how it feels!!

eBay seller accepted a lowball offer on some sealed product for one of the weirdest TCGs of all time gimmick wise: Zatch Bell Your entire deck is put into a small binder that is your literal spellbook and taking damage causes you to flip pages and lose access to cards earlier in your book.

Two starter decks for the Zatch Bell The Card Battle TCG

Two booster packs for the Zatch Bell The Card Battle TCG

I traded in Mr. Goblin and a few other odds and ends for some Neuroscape sealed product and very much came out on top. Who hasnt seen a weird underwhelming Goblin from high school mature into a bad bitch goth angel? Many such cases

Today I've learned the price for a foil copy of Embermage Goblin has reached 50-80 for a LP or NM copy. This is all because the foil includes an unfortunately placed scrap of cloth the non foil version edited out. Thank you teenage past me for getting the dick joke MTG card when it was cheap!

Neuroscape has really been scratching the brain for me the more I look into it. Especially takes me back to scraping together a deck with the playables in my small collection. Also a shame that being the industry plant sellout deck is a very fun theme, I'm playing as a corpo shill </3

Starting to try and make some custom Jumpstart packs for the shop and it's definitely a fun little project. Hope folks wind up having fun with them when the proper first wave goes out!

Like all I did was add an equalizer to the audio and its all garbled and loud and noisy and the look is just right. Early digital and found footage just belong together.

020

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Channeling my love of found footage with the camera I got thrifting yesterday. Definitely gonna have some projects to use this with

Love the change idea overall but yeah this one little gap is concerning for second place. I'll probably make it so if finals is a mirror match at TOTL we give the second place person an antiquity pack or something like that along with the normal pack or store credit prizing they'd get for 2nd.

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Every time I look at these card arts from Mastery Pack Warrior my brain wonders if they pass the @thehermitdruid.bsky.social sniff test of "Do these swordsmen actually use their swords right?" Obviously mage portal shenanigans nonwithstanding

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

That'd make sense! I've seen so many variants in the titles that I've not wanted to assume any "official" correct answer as someone who very much cannot read Chinese myself haha

010

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Yeah, it's super sick! Anything that tears down barriers between common interests and sharing experiences is going to usually be a great time in my book. And just getting to see other perspectives I'd never get otherwise rules

020

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I can't lie, the title went so hard I started messing with the hero last night lmao. Effective advertising!

010

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Bilibili is making a push for global outreach again and thanks to the new American mobile app I'm skulking through seeing how the other side of the internet talks about Flesh and Blood, or "Crimson Soul War Chronicle" as I see autotranslate keep calling it haha #fabtcg

I'm not truly "self taught" but I've also never really been taught *piano* either. I played marimba in band in middle school so the key layout was all the same but my hand placement probably makes actual pianists cringe

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Thrifted myself a midi keyboard over the weekend and finally got the needed cables today, super stoked that it actually works perfectly. Now all I have to do is knock off well over a decade and a half of rust lol

Just had some young zoomers no older than like 12 browsing Yugioh making Yugioh the Abridged Series references, feels funny that all these years later its still kinda bedrock for the YGO community. Truly formational series haha

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Oh we have a huge stack of those at the shop rn I do hope you're right ahha Card def reads like absolute gas waiting for its time to shine

010

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Honestly P-Bandai was kinda the thing that made me fully drop One Piece because I really loved mono black croc and then realizing that all my second wave of support was a p-bandai drop just made me go "oh. I think I'm gonna focus on FaB fully again."

020

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

I think I am only just now clocking that that one scene early on in ASOIAF was maybe a loose hobbit reference where the clever small-sized perspective character gets cold clocked right as the cool epic battle starts and misses basically all of it Damn, crazy to not have connected that til now lol

010

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

It honestly feels so cosmically fitting that the only person to ask me at the shop about Palword TCG was a massive jerk about it.

070

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Ending of the chapter made me punch the air it was so good. Introduced this dude in two chapters and made for a damn fine mini arc. Love his final mindset on our MC. Also I love everything they're doing with Shuli, that kid is the emotional bedrock of the manga for sure

110

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Incredibly fair! I think when I get back to the game eventually I'll give her more time to grow on me with the comfortable knowledge that if nothing else I can always opt out of the voice acting. Thanks for your perspective!

010

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

How do you feel about the voice acting? Particularly the narrator? I didn't get to play much beyond the first room/scene before having to set it down for a bit, but I wasn't fully sold on the delivery of some of the narrator's lines/skill voices. But also such a small sample of the game to judge

For me it's got to be my Arthouse Syndicate Prism AP. While she was not my first hero, Prism was by far the one I fell the most in love with. A week after I had my first good armory on her I found this and it was just meant to be. One day I'll get to use her again! #FABCW @fabtcg.com #fabtcg

I read this as "at my val jean" at first and thought this was somehow an indirect start at shoplifting discourse

Canonically does Luthor model his clones off of the denizens of Bizarro World or is it a grand cosmic coincidence? Or do both versions of Bizarro never co-exist?

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

I really thought the restaurant in town called Bistro Elysium was a coincidence name wise but seeing their two mixed drinks are named after Red Nostalgia and Phasmids respectively makes me think maybe there is something intentional here lol

Yeah I just asked myself "What is the most recent fighting game that got massively pumped but then shriveled up and died in the sun" and as much as I expected Mike Z's Avatar game to shit the bed it's the other viacom fighting game that takes the title still lol

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Flesh and Blood is MvC 3, Netrunner is Project M, Riftbound is 2XKO but that's cheating, Elestrals is Nick All Star Brawl

Very true! I'm definitely going to be using bento boxes as a good bit of inspiration, basically trying to build a bento framework into this vintage metal lunchbox and custom size and pad it to be card sized and card safe haha

010

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Will do! While thrifting yesterday I stumbled across some Care Bear lunchboxes and I specifically think modifying this into a deckbox for my Lyath deck is the best possible way to house that deck specifically

050

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

I do have access to one but part of me feels like it could be lass hassle, but thats in part because my 3D modeling experience is limited haha

000

UncrownedJules @uncrownedjules.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

I'm thinking of doing a project that involves turning an old lunch box into a deckbox. Am I crazy, or would it be best to make like, a wooden frame with essentially compartments for the deck and accessories then line it with velvet or the like? That's what feels most intuitive to me...
